Are the controls different for the PS3 version or something? Because I'm pretty sure it was obvious it had rockets. Though I might have thought that since I played 2 first and got used to the other vehicle.

It has a machine gun and a rocket launcher on the top. (It also has propulsion rockets but that's not what I'm talking about)

On an Xbox controller the machine gun is right trigger. The rockets are fired with right button. Who the hell puts the secondary gun on the trigger button? 7 playthroughs and like 5 years it took me to figure this out! The can take down the fucking geth armatures in two shots and wipe out almost everything else in one. /RAGE

Also I loaded my save today to find the firs glitch I've ever encountered in this game. I'll take a video with my phone and post it here.

^That is very very similar to the glitch I mentioned! Except mine happened on a mission somewhere.

I think they're talking about the cannon

but also to note you get only a fraction of the XP in the Mako that you would on foot, and if your weapons are built right you won't need the Mako for anything but terrain traversal

You can wear down big enemies with the cannon, then get out and fire the kill shot on foot for the full XP. I only do that with Thresher Maws though. Everyone else gets Schwarzeneggered.

Well, the ExoGeni guy is dead. Again. Seriously, I looked it up: this bureaucratic jobsworth needs as much Charm or Intimidation as Saren.

Personally, I enjoy using the Mako for car-fu exploits. Firing the thrusters at the top of a peak so you land on the Geth infantry below, hitting barricades at such high speeds they kill the people hiding behind them...

Also, I like running geth over and then driving around in the tightest turning circle the Mako can handle, because it basically just pushes over any enemy that tries to stand up over again and it looks like the goofiest thing in the world in a vicious cycle of trying to stand up and then being gently ragdolled to the ground again

For the first time ever after seven playthroughs I decided to try to access the restricted area in the labs on Noveria. I had no idea everybody would start shooting me and I could just walk right up to Benezia. I don't care if I'm paragon, I'm doing that everytime. So much better than doing the little boring sidequests.

Feros, actually. Thinks it's fine to wipe out the remnants of the colony there to keep the Thorian a secret so that ExoGeni can profit.

You know he's a creep when he sneers "we don't need your heroics here". And then his security detail gets huffy about you shooting him, and think they can take the guy who took down the geth they were hiding from. Funny how just a krogan pointing a shotgun at them and a turian glaring convinces them otherwise.

And then someone says about how we don't need to be shooting each other in the back! It was in the front. He drew on me. After I told him to sit down and shut up. And he wanted to commit mass murder to make his books balance.

Asshole. Glad I shot him now (and I play Paragon).

I love having Liara with me because any time you threaten people like that where most of your allies pull out their guns, Liara just starts glowing blue with biotics. She flares up her biotics and people shit their pants.

Just out of curiosity, at which point in the game would you guys suggest I do the Bring Down the Sky mission?

Right now, I'm off to complete Garrus and Wrex's loyalty missions (I know they're not actually loyalty missions, but it's clearly where the idea came from).

Also, found a slight beneficial bug last night. I'd peacefully sorted out things with Helena Blake, and was reconnoitring her HQ, when I came across a decryption point. I saved before trying it, and failed the first attempt. As I reloaded... there was an explosion, a scream, and I got XP/money (flashed up on screen too quick to tell which). After I left, all the mercs will still there, and I wasn't treated as hostile.

I usually do Bring Down The Sky after 2 of the main missions and after I'm finished with Pinacle Station.

PS3 doesn't have Pinnacle Station yet. But that was what I was considering, so thanks.

AI Hacking is fun. Seeing a Geth Destroyer throw itself against a Prime is hilarious. Turning a Sapper against the other Geth and then SHUTTING THE DOOR, just seeing your rewards pile up is indescribable.

I never shoot sappers. My squadmates take care of them much better than I ever do.
