For a while I thought we avoided
the tsukuyomi
:monster:

That's kind of end game stuff.

Dang. That last panel of Juubi's roots taking over the Hokage Monument hits hard.

Tenten is so close with those tools...

It's interesting how everyone's eyes turn into Rinnegan once they get caught in the jutsu... except for Sasuke who already has a Rinnegan and everyone under Edo Tensai.

Speaking of Sasuke's Rinnegan... it's interesting how all of Sasuke's Mangekyou sharingan techniques revolve around rejecting reality. Susano'o nullifies all jutsu that come in contact with it, he can get rid of Ameterasu, and his ultimate genjutsu is to make people see things in the real world that aren't really there. Itachi's Mangekyou sharingan techniques all reavolve around forcing his own reality on other people. Susano'o's main use is to put people in a genjutsu they can never wake up from, he brings Ameterasu into existance and with Tusukiyomi he can pull people into an illusionary world he has complete control over.

Oh man. I lost track of Yamato and I was wondering when he was gonna show up... ...Wait, so does this mean he was under Mad's control this whole time? Or is he free now?

Also, I kinda want the next chapter to delve into what everyone's seeing in the Infinite Tsukiyomi.

If I know this series at all by now, we'll get four weeks of illusion crap, a break week, four weeks of an extended flashback, a break week, two weeks of illusion crap, two weeks back in the present reality culminating in someone's rousing resolve ... and then another break week.

I could NOT have been happier with that chapter.

Seeing everyone's dream world, watching Team 7 trying to work through the dysfunctional relationship it has now, and that final reveal just brought everything together in the most AMAZING way possible. Layers and layers of manipulation.

So the right question to have been asking all this time is "Who/What is Zetsu?".

One of the great things about this is that with the way everyone is dreaming (as in, they are legitimately having good dreams as opposed to nightmares) this could actually be considered a good ending depending on the type of story that's being told. Only for this story it's not.

I like that what's happening now is like a cross between "House of M" and "The Matrix" xD

I really like that Madara was being ultimately being manipulated by Kaguya the same way that he was manipulating Obito, and Obito was manipulating Nagato - with all of them seeing themselves as the heroes bringing peace to the world with the person pulling the strings as being ultimately untrustworthy/evil.

Moreso than that, I really enjoy that some aspect of Kaguya has been watching events since the end of the vanilla series. It kinda makes me want to go back through and look at Black Zetsu's dialogue and interaction up 'til this point.

^^Someone pointed out on TvTropes that Kabuto got tossed into one genjutsu as as soon as he was finished with Itachi's. And that Black Zetsu said that Itachi was nearly invincible at one point. Compliment much?

I really want to see a filler episode for that Lord of the Rings splash page.

Love the center cover! Naruto meets DnD/LoTR anyone?

The fact that Kaguya used Infinite Tuskiyomi before is very, very freaky. I'm guessing this is one of the reasons why Hagoromo and Hamura decided to overthrow her. Also freaky is that she transparently knows who Hagoromo's kids were/are.

So it turns out that instead seeing "The Man in the Moon", Japanese mythology sees a rabbit pounding rice in a mortar and pestle . And Kaguya is referred to as a rabbit goddess. Coincidence Hagoromo made the moon while sealing the Jubbi, a major source of his mom's powers? I don't think so.

I would think the Uzumakis are descended from Hagoromo, since Asura is the ancestor of the Senju clan and because the Senju and the Uzumaki clans are distantly related. :monster:

I had a feeling that it was gonna happen too, as soon as he started being cryptic about a plan with a special Jutsu. I loved that it was such an oldschool Naruto thing to do (I bet he was practicing it to best Tsunade in order to take the title of Hokage, which is why he'd been over-practicing it in secret). xD I also loved that Sasuke went along with it.

On a bigger not, Obito's apparently back in the picture just as Sasuke's out of it. I'm curious how the confrontation with Kaguya is going to continue, because right now it's at somewhat of a stand still in terms of interesting developments. I'm wondering what her dimension traveling ability actually does, since there's that castle continually showing up in the background. I'm expecting that we'll start to see some stuff with the Edo Hokage soon to start to mix it up a little bit.

Additionally, I like the idea that they'd re-seal Kaguya, but that there's still a world to deal with AFTER that. They have to decide how to continue on with the Ninja World itself as a socio-political mechanic, and that's where I see the tension between Naruto & Sasuke potentially sparking back up a bit. I see this ending out with Naruto & Sasuke being left as figureheads, but also showing that the world keeps moving - even with them as who they are.
