Dacon and I are close friends? When did that happen? Don't get me wrong he's a cool guy and I like him, but we hardly talk. Or do you mean he and you shared this joke? That would mean other people besides the person being quoted and having the joke directed at them can see it and laugh or not laugh. Just like Ryu's joke, how 'bout that? Now true, Rishi may not know Ryu even so well as Dacon knows me, but lets not pretend a molestation joke is over 9,000 worse than a "rape" joke. And lets similarly not pretend that the discomfort Ryu has caused among the female population in the past is an excuse to vilify any less than 100% PC joke the man makes.

2) staff response mocking someone for airing a grievance like this when several forum members feel similarly doesn't exactly inspire confidence in their methods which is a prime concern for forum members

Now I would disagree with mods outright mocking a grievance. That'd be uncool, no mistake. The number of forum members who feel similarly doesn't even come into it, whether you or anyone else feels the same way or not is irrelevant to me. If RISHI, who feels aggrieved, is mocked, that is bullshit and deserves to be called such. But then, I can't honestly say I've seen any mockery going on anywhere I look on the forum. Hell, until it came up in this thread I had no idea any problems came of that post, I guessed based on what I was seeing going on here. So is she being mocked in private then? If so, what is being said? And don't go calling "no iz private!" since you're the one saying its time to hash it out in here.

You know what? I do have faith in them. They've never steered me wrong, never given me shit I didn't deserve, etc. Have they had problems? Yes, and I called them out right along with everyone else. Are they having problems now? It would seem so, looking around, specifically they seem to have problems working together from what I've seen them saying of late. I have faith in them anyway as individuals, and I have faith that they can handle their problems and get that shit behind them. I really do.

I make my jokes in full knowledge that not everyone likes me with the thought that it will be deemed offensive to many in the forefront of my mind.

How people respond to what I do is entirely up to them. If you got a problem with something I say report it and shit will be handled.

Cause I can think of any number of similar or even worse jokes I've seen on this forum that didn't drive anyone out. Hell, the "show me on the doll where they touched you" joke Dacon made that you thanked, Zee, was humor of a similar nature. Nah. Honestly, that has to stop already. I'll tell you right now, opening the staff section completely as it is now to the public isn't an option. It's an unrealistic expectation. There's sensitive and personal information in there concerning other members. Exposing everyone's shit like that wouldn't be right. Period. And, I'm not going around asking every member if it's alright for us to air out their business.

Here, you put these words ^ in my mouth but they're not mine. Please do have them back. I never said every report ever should be responded to as such. I did imply, in my earlier post, that someone was too thin skinned for their own good in regards to this "issue" we're discussing. And hell, maybe there is a reason for that. Maybe rape/kidnap/nonconsent/whatever is a powerful trigger for Rishi, I dunno. I DO know her response over in the thread this particular heap of crap is originating from didn't specify anything. Sure I can maybe air my grievances in a private forum where all the mods can respond to me. I'm sure that would work fine if I had an issue with the normal trolls we get here. But if I ever have an issue with a mod? No apparently I'm not allowed to be fucking offended, and it'd be so much fun having the mod in question as well as a good portion of the rest of the team dogpiling me to shut up and get over it. Even if they do something that a regular member would get infracted or even banned for.

Sorry but this bullshit secularism is keeping the management of this forum away from the memberbase and completely in the hands of moderation. Since a lot of the problems here are caused by the fact that members don't trust the mods... this just seems like more bullshit where nothing actually changes.

Yet for some reason while another member was issued an apology, I was bitched about in a private forum/in a pm/msn/irc/whatever. How funny! An infraction would have been fine and I would've just moved on. An apology would've been nice, but not expected. But no, instead this whole fucking investigation has to be launched and I get fucking called out in an area where I can't even fucking defend myself.

I strongly disagree with the first sentence [about the lack of mocking people in the staff thread] but I'm not going to comment on that again for now because it's caused me enough stress for one day.

Anyways I think this is ridiculous over the fact I made a report over something that I found legitimately very problematic. I don't think it's within anyone's right - staff or otherwise - to tell people what to be offended by and why. Also the fact that [MEMBER NAME REDACTED], who also reported the post and received an apology, was discouraged from reporting posts altogether [by Ryu].

I'm in a corner where if I feel creeped out/uncomfortable with the person I have the issue with, and therefore have no desire to confront him about it.

The mod team has been no help and a good portion of the active ones have done nothing but mock me in a private forum. Not to mention the lot of you are lying to the faces of the members about that kind of shit not happening in there.

If I were to express my grievances publicly, then that will only fuel the mocking. I don't want to be accused of shit-stirring or drama-whoring or whatever.

So I'm officially stuck in a corner. I'm out. I've let the people I do actually trust on this forum know what my grievances are and why, and if they want to take it up with you guys then that's fine. But as for me, I'm out. I don't need to deal with bullshit and mockery all because I did something I was encouraged to do in the first place - report a post that I found creepy.
