I think the fact that there is indeed shit talking, over rides the fact that she is aware of it. One way or another, she was made aware of the bullshit. Don't try turning around the fact that staff's being called out on their bullshit to something else.

Ehh? I have reported Ryu before and I have no personal grudges against him at all. Maybe those people are offended by what he says because it's actually offensive to them? You can't just assume the worst about people like that and then treat their reports differently because of it. That's unfair.

Okay you didn't say every issue, but I don't feel it was the best thing to say at all.

What exactly is the double standard you say is being claimed?

The fact that Rishi reported something she found offensive, immediately she is being told it's because she has a personal grudge against Ryu when in reality, she actually found what he said to be offensive/creepy. It had nothing to do with a personal vendetta but that's what everyone assumed anyawys.

No, it doesn't. I'm not even saying anyone at all is out for blood on anyone else. It does seem, however, like people respond better to tasteless, pervy, or otherwise non-PC jokes better if its almost anyone but Ryu telling them.

and idk maybe Ryu went to sleep? He signed off MSN and everything, so he's probably just not here. Maybe give him a chance to respond before you condemn him.

I don't think anyone's insinuating a set of rules where someone should or shouldn't be offended by something. It's more to do with the fact that there is a correlation between who makes the offending post and the sort of relationship between the offender and the offend...ee is that even a word

I don't doubt for a second that Rishi was genuinely offended by what Ryu had said (as would be in many other instances between Ryu and whoever reported him in earlier instances), but at the same time I think we're more likely to let things slide if the person making this joke in bad taste was a more intimate friend.

I'd still like to see our "magic" source (I really think we'd need more than that to take it seriously) produce these instances of shit-talking behind members backs. Because I think everyone here agrees that that shit won't cut it, but as much as I'd like to believe it I don't think we can all take such an extreme claim for granted.

So yeah, let's out with the report and such.
