I've seen so much anime and manga growing up I'm practically blind to all but the most blatant of exaggerations in that department unless it specifically draws attention to itself. I'm sure Square knows better than to exaggerate her boobs so it's just a matter of having enough jiggle physics to avoid weird lack of movement where there should be but not enough to draw attention from anyone not consciously looking for it.

I liked her AC design and the apparent lack of boobar physics in that one, it made it a lot less distracting and made her character far more serious. I just couldn't do that (outside of the dialogue) in the original game.

Its about ridiculous jiggle physics in games like DOA or the recent Street Fighter 5 Chun Li glitch, and the objectification of a character who is more than just "the one with the boobs".

I like tatas of all sizes. As Pixel said the argument is about whether or not they are going to make Tifa's unreasonable and unrealistic for the sake of objectification.

Does that mean men like myself don't like girls being shown off in a potentially demeaning way? Sure. I'm a man. Our sexual desires are generally not very "dignified". But considering this isn't an ero game, I'd like it to treat the character with a modicum of respect.

Edit: For the record, my wife has a C cup, but her biggles still jiggles when she wiggles.

I honestly felt like Tifa didn't have much going on with her character in the OG game other than being built in the image of an adolescent boy's fantasy. She was the popular girl that ignored Cloud growing up and now she's super all about him as an adult even though he's kind of an asshole. But, I think they did a great job adding depth to Tifa's character in the wider compilation, without changing anything about her. On the Way to a Smile endeared me to her a whole bunch.
If they keep making her more interesting and likable, idgaf if her boobs jiggle.

Porn absolutely objectifies women as do the men watching it (edit: or any gender to any gender, just wanna clarify that). The difference is porn stars (usually) get into the profession by choice and make money being objectified. As untasteful as it might seem, some people like to be objectified and make bank doing it.

When you have a game like this which is going to be by its very nature marketed to a teen - young adult range you're going to have content that is questionable and pandering. Are we saying this is going to wreck the fabric of society? No, but I for one like my porn and my gameplay to stay separate.

Apart from Sasha Grey Super Bubble Blaster 3000. That's a lot of fun.

Yes there is more to the character of Tifa then her tatas. We're aware of this. This is a forum dedicated to Final Fantasy 7. It's possible for us to have a conversation about one aspect without bashing all the other aspects.

Furthermore, if the conversation doesn't interest you, it doesn't interest you. One might simply not comment on it rather than attack the people commenting on the thread because you view it as beneath you.

Can't say I agree with this. She didn't actively ostracise Cloud, Cloud made his own problems by picking fights because he didn't know how to intergrate. And in any case they were kids.

As an adult, she hasn't seen the guy in years, she finds him tripping balls on the streets of Midgar and he's the only person from her time in Nibelheim (everyone else being dead/gone) She realises he isn't all he seems and decides to keep him close to find out what the hell is going on. Sure she develops feelings for him, and helps him regain himself.

Cloud isn't an asshole in the OG - he just doesn't know who he is, the compilation had him doing some questionable things that I think were rather unfair towards Tifa - even if Cloud believed he was doing it for the best.

TLDR there is a lot more to Tifa than boobs, even in the OG and most people here know that

Anyway, there was a time when boobs/fanservice in things bothered me, but I consider it to be a mark of immaturity. I think a large part of what got me past it, was the manga Bleach, which has female characters with all sorts of different body shapes, including a handful with unrealistically large anime boobs. And those characters are among my absolute favorites. When I see people on the internet over-sexualize them or reduce them to their body shapes it annoys the hell out of me. But in no way do I think the source material does that.
So then there's that feeling of, if the author wanted people to respect these characters and look at them as more than just a body shape, why didn't he make them more reasonably proportioned? But then you're just saying, NO BIG BOOBS ALLOWED. Women having big boobs is vulgar and pornographic, keep that out of my classy reading material. I like having different body shapes represented. I like that Orihime (Bleach), Matsumoto (also Bleach) and Tifa have big boobs, it's part of them and I like them.
So I stopped caring. Load my shit up with fanservice, I don't care. It means nothing. If people are gonna reduce my favorite characters to being just hot boob ladies, then that's gonna bother me. If someone's gonna be attracted to Tifa for having big boobs, but also other reasons also? Cool. Don't care. That's fine.

Midgar is basically porn for me, so I don't see why other people shouldn't have the things that excite them in the game.

I get that feeling like something is blatantly pandery, rather than sincere, is always gonna be annoying in any form. That's the one window through which I can understand being concerned. Butttt, still don't think it's gonna be an issue. Don't think Remake is gonna end up just a bunch of fanservice and don't think Tifa's gonna end up just a pair of floating boobs.
