Yeah, and I was just thinking about what you said about Biggs. Seeing him flying into the screen and then slowly sliding down it with his face mashed up against it would be hilarious, especially if Jessie had some smart remark for him as it happened.

Or maybe she and/or Wedge would actually try to help him

Wedge probably would, but I got the vibe from the demo that Jessie likes to tease him.

I suppose that's true. But they were just sparring, weren't they?

I noticed that in that interview video when Cloud and the gang leave the train, the flower's still on him. But maybe that's only if you didn't give it to Jessie in the train if you're given the opportunity - there's no way she couldn't have known about it or not seen it, which would have been a natural lead-in to the option of giving it to her. If you do, then maybe the scene plays out the same but with the flower on her armor instead of his. I hope so, anyway. I'd hate to think SE is taking choices away from us by forcing it to go to Tifa.

I still would probably give it to Marlene lol

Funny, guys. Anyway, thanks to pxp, I've just gotten confirmation that (minor spoilers ahead)
buying the flower is indeed optional. Which means we should still have a choice of who to give it to if we do buy it. So hopefully, Jessie will get to be on that short list this time. :)

And hopefully that won't be all their moments this time, unlike in the OG where that was all she really had with him.

Yeah, but I meant specifically just the two of them, not just them with the others happening to be around. But the two of them alone, like they were in the cargo car on the train.

From what I know, choosing to buy the flower is what's optional. Cloud still gets the flower but you either tell Aerith you want to buy it or you don't. Her reaction changes depending on your choice but the end result is still "Cloud gets the flower". For what is worth, I'm not saying that you won't be able to choose who you give it to, but from what we've heard and read, you still always get the flower.

That violates her character, though, because in the original, she never forced you to take it. If you refused, she let you walk away without it. They should have kept that intact. What's the point of giving us the option to refuse if it's not going to mean anything and if it doesn't actually change anything?

On the surface, that's a little disappointing, but really, NOT buying the flower was always a boring choice. Getting the option to not gain points with Aerith while still getting the flower for future choices is better over all I think. Besides,

That would be nice, especially if the dinner is just between them. But hopefully they would still have more than just those two single scenes alone together in the entire game.

And it seems Alex deleted his post about the flower. I didn't see anything wrong with it, though. Curious...

Also, Ody, if our choices don't have an impact on how things happen then what's the point of having them?
If we can't really refuse the flower and really walk away without it, what's the point of being able to refuse it in the first place? Especially when in the OG, Aerith never forced it on you.
