You right, you right. We're always crazy! Nice picture btw.Just now?
Also, Ody, if our choices don't have an impact on how things happen then what's the point of having them?
If we can't really refuse the flower and really walk away without it, what's the point of being able to refuse it in the first place? Especially when in the OG, Aerith never forced it on you.

If we can't really refuse the flower and really walk away without it, what's the point of being able to refuse it in the first place? Especially when in the OG, Aerith never forced it on you.It removes the ability to simply not obtain the flower, but that was always a dull choice that led nowhere and ultimately robbed the player of any meaningful choices later. You neither gain points for buying the flower nor lose points for refusing it. You basically just make it so nothing happens at all. Guaranteeing Cloud has the flower opens up the possibilities for what he does with it, and since you can still refuse, Aerith's view of Cloud is still negatively impacted. I'm betting she gives you the flower for saving her from the Ghost things, so it's not like she just forces Cloud to take it.
Dull or not, the choice still should have been ours to make. The OG respected that choice, so the remake should have as well. If they won't give us that respect in one choice we can make, how can we expect them to do it for any of the other choices we'll have in the game? How can we expect to feel as if we're playing a part in how things turn out if what we choose doesn't truly affect things in a very real way?

I guess that's true, but I don't really see it as much of a loss. When I got my other friends to play the original, the asshole would just skim the text and accidentally not get the flower, then get mad at me for not warning them. Having the flower is more interesting than not, so whatever.
Well all we can do is waitI'm just hoping they're not using that as a way to force it to be given to Tifa, is all. That choice should be up to us. I don't like any choices or freedom being denied, no matter how small. Especially just to shoehorn in a particular pick and leave a potential new option shafted.
We know youre reading thid mwahahaI like how we're all talking in spoilers even though its usually just us three here. Unless... someone is watching...... right now....
I CAN SEE YOU
Calm down, you have this bad habit of jumping to conclusions. While your dream of giving it to Jessie might not happen, I'm certain that at the very least you will still be able to give it to Marlene. It'll still end up in a cup on the counter either way if I had to guess though.
Somehow their relationship is even more poorly established in the original game than their respective relationships with Cloud, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the remake develops it. Just going by the demo, I like the playful banter between Jessie and Biggs. I get the feeling their interactions will be fun. Wedge seems like he's the real heart of the group. I bet everybody likes him.Other question... What do you guys think about jessies relationship to biggs and wedge?
I meant towards each other :oJessie is the brains, Biggs is the brawn, Wedge is the heart. At least that's how it seems like it could be, each of them in a role only they could do.
Well, hopefully our numbers will grow when the full game hits. That is, if Aerith and Tifa's playability doesn't make everyone forget all about Jessie.
