Perseverance (Jessie/Clessie Club)

Just hold on tight, okay?
on another hand,
i'm so happy that jessie finally has a last name so she has an appropriate tag now, instead of just #jessieffvii or #jessieffviir or whatever. because that was genuinely exhausting to keep typing when i uploaded my gifs. :mon:

Yeah, same here. I think I might use it in my stories - not directly, but she'll have to go by another name after leaving the plate because being the LOVELESS girl has made her somewhat famous around town, and to keep her father from finding her, she has to drop the stage name she adopted. I'd wondered what to do about that, anyway, but now I have a solution. She has to think of another name to go by down in the slums but isn't sure what at first, until she eventually thinks of Rasberry - I think by finding one of the actual berries, which would probably be as hard to find as real flowers, and it somehow inspires her to take the new name.

I was thinking, now that we know she
Has a history at Gold Saucer, there's a chance we'll hear more about her in the second part.

Yeah, I hadn't thought of that. That'd be a nice way to keep her in the story. Maybe we'll get to see some flashbacks of her on stage. I really hope so! And I'd just like to say for the record that Jessie's reward is the absolute best one in the game imo.:smiley::hearteyes::hearteyes:

I can't wait to see Pez and NSP react to seeing Jessie's reward. Pez'll probably fall right out of his chair, if his reactions to her in the demo are anything to go on. And I know NSP'll love it, he's part of the Jessie is Best Girl club, too.

I think it's safe to say that Clessie is now officially LEGIT! Still can't get over Jessie's reward.:hearteyes::hearteyes:

And here's something I hope we'll someday see (I put this together the other day, before I had gotten the game):

If this chapter boosts Jessie's popularity the way I think it will, especially with her reward, I don't think you'll have to beg.
Think it already has I seen lots of comments on YouTube and Google and stuff calling her the best girl and some telling tifa and aerith to eat their hearts out lol

i laughed out loud at her "wifey" imitation. now that i think of it, that joke was probably on purpose since it would be unrealistic for square not to realize the "waifu wars" at this point. a nice touch regardless. also, erica is killing it as always and i loved her delivery of that word especially.

man it's so frustrating that i haven't had a good chance to get on PC lately....hope i can get a chance today

You know, that pose reminds me of Rinoa from FF8 at the SeeD graduation ball when she saw Squall and asked him to dance. Deliberate nod, maybe? Subtle way of SE saying "Yes, Jessie IS a love interest now." :mon:

You know, I think if Cloud had made it back after the Reactor 5 mission instead of falling into Aerith's church, something could've really developed between him and Jessie. I'm sure she would've worn him down sooner or later, and romance wouldn't have been far behind.:blush:

Hey now that you mention it it does tseng in the last trailer did similar. Speaking of kitase is thinking of doing a viii remake nothing confirmed but said would like to do it and I found out that vii remake was just the first of three remakes they were planning, vii viii and ix were going to be remade but nothing got up

That would be great if VIII got the remake treatment, too. But anyway, I just started Chapter 8, and I'm really missing Jessie. I wish we'd gotten more than one trio-centric chapter in the game. The stuff between her and Cloud was really endearing, and I wish there was more of it. It would been really nice to see the full development between them unfold if it had had the chance, because it seems like it really could have been something special once she brought down Cloud's walls. Aerith's arrival feels a bit jarring by comparison. I mean, by the time you meet her, you could already possibly have a date with Jessie set up, but Aerith offers one too (though of course she doesn't know about Jessie). Of course, he wasn't expecting Aerith to offer a date as a fee, and he probably just sees it as a fee and nothing else. I just wonder if the game will address this in some way and if we'll see Jessie again before the pillar. I really hope so. NO SPOILERS PLEASE.

Nice! You know, I just realized something. As of Chapter 8 (at least as far as the rooftops), Jessie is the only one of three girls Cloud has smiled at or around. And not just once, but three times - in Chapters 1, 2, and 4. She must've really had an effect on him, hehe. :)

he smiles a fair bit at tifa as well if you look enough, but otherwise yeah those aren't just given away willy nilly. to have him smile at anyone outside of his childhood friend even once is a feat in of itself :mon:

Oh I forgot. Anyway, I hope to see Jessie again before the pillar. The game's not the same without her...

it's a wonder what would have happened if jessie didn't get hurt. maybe cloud would have visited her house, or she could have joined tifa at the honeybee inn and gotten her own outfit. she could have fallen down with cloud and met aerith (i would love for them to interact!), etc. but it's understandable why this is happening the way it is. i don't know remember in the game where the pillar falls but we'll probably get one more jessie/avalanche scene before it happens.
also, i just want cloud and the crew to get back to her just so they can tell her the bomb's damage was never her fault. i want her to stop being so guilty :<

You know, when Cloud
carries Jessie into the 7th Heaven, that was a nice payoff for her flirting with him on the way out of Reactor 1 when she said that if she couldn't walk, he'd be the first to know. And he was. :D

He has Aerith in his arms later, but that wasn't planned. He was just trying to catch her since she fell. With Jessie, he chose to do it, but he didn't have to. Barret probably could've managed it if he'd had to. But Cloud did it and was really nice to her about it.
