I just got through ch. 12. This was my favorite so far. I cried when Aerith went to get Marlene (I was looking forward to the song that was titled after them. It definitely made me cry). The platefall sequence was great. There was so much more meat to it than the original. I cried during Biggs and Jessie's deaths. I'm glad the game had built them up to this moment. Both songs played during their scenes were great as well. (the ost cant be released soon enough)

I did too until I saw something in ending that made no sense at time but now it does just wait until you find out cause it will shock you and question everything can't wait to talk about it when you get there lol no spoiling being quiet as promised

Jessie's alive in Part 2, her parents most likely aren't and that whole neighborhood is probably just rubble. Although there were survivors from the upper plate as well as the slums, so maybe they're alive, too.

Does he have the textures from the rest of her pictures? There were more.

I paid Obstinate Melon $120 to draw this just so I could put it in the book I was making. Never say I'm not dedicated to the cause! I have it printed as a huge 24x36 poster too.

We'll see what she says, and she might not be allowed to answer since it's somewhat of a spoilery question, but maybe she will. Anyway, I'll let you all know what I find out.

With Jessie's rapidly rising popularity, I'm really hoping Square takes notice. I'm not on social media like twitter or what have you, but I understand that the reaction has been pretty big.

I also just want to say that I'm glad people are starting to realize what a good character design she has. This was something that struck me years and years ago whenevr I first drew her, but for a minor NPC, her design is really striking. The color choice, the armor, headband, she honestly popped to me more than some of the actual main characters did. I think that;s one of the big contributing reasons I've drawn her more than almost any other FF character, she's just plain fun to look at! Tifa's colors are so muted, and Aerith is predominantly red. Jessie's got blue, red, and green in her pallet. It's just a really good character design that Nomura just fuckin slept on for 20 years.

I'm sure SE is well aware of how much love Jessie's getting now, and they'd be fools not to bring her back for Part 2. All the VA's are likely still on contract anyway, so it's not like they'd have to make a new one to keep Erica on board. And I know it's an extremely long shot, but maybe they'll even take advantage of her popularity surge to add her as a new face to the classic playable roster and shake things up a bit. I know it's unlikely, but it's probably more likely now than it was before Part 1 came out. If any member of the trio were to have the potential for such a promotion, it would definitely be her. And I'm sure a lot of people would love it if that happened, considering how well-liked she is now amongst the fanbase.

Just checked out the merch twitter. Plenty of people specifically asking for Jessie! Sephiroth, Reno, and Rude are next, maybe she'll come after along side Red XIII and maybe Rufus. I can dream okay?

I only hope Jessie's not alive due to story and emotion sake. Biggs being alive takes the wind out of the sails to his death (in my eyes) I would hate to have the same with Jessie. With that said, if SE can come up with a good excuse (maybe the Whispers deemed death, to not be their fate) I wouldn't mind. I'd just want it to work for the story.

By the time this is all said and done, there is gonna be a lot of PAK figures lol. Potential ones I can think of: her, Reno, Rude, Rufus, Red, Vincent, Cid, Yuffie and Sephiroth. Maybe Zack. Long shot hopes would be Genesis and Angeal

jessie being popular and being dead isn't much of a problem for S/E (if they plan to capitalize on her/avalanche). just look at zack. yeah, they did expect him to have some sort of fan reaction creating the game, but to beat cloud in a popularity poll once? even now, this year he still won't leave the top 10 in a new japan poll (speaking of, how will jessie/avalache's ranking be now? hmm).

what i'm getting at is, you don't have to be a huge fan of zack to note that he appears as much as it's allowed in FF7 games. he was even in WOFF as DLC just because, since he's so popular he's seen as practically his own standalone protagonist. it's regularly expected to get some sort of coverage whenever anything outside of the canon appears. so yeah, maybe she/avalache is a bit trapping because of their fate in canon, they could have the zack treatment if there's enough demand.

i haven't seen a lot on the jessie merch though, as it was really me, jairus and two others asking for avalanche merch the last i saw, but that was before the game was even released so don't take this opinion as much. far be it from me to be angry more people want what we've been asking for a while lol.
