Oh snap it's not fan art! I doodled this yesterday for my new ID pic on deviantART.

Some parts look funny, but it was only meant to be a quick thing.

Wow, I'm glad I make you smile. I wouldn't consider my lack of variety a good thing, lulz, but glad you enjoy what tickles me.

Pretty similar composition-wise to that last one, but I just got the drawing bug and wanted to doodle something simple.

It's like your style so it doesn't make you bland. You're good at Vincrecia/Lucrecia/Vincent stuff so don't stop. (:

Haha, if I'm good at Vincent/Lucrecia/VinLu it's because it's all I ever draw. Lately, anyway.

This and the picture of myself were completely digital from scratch. The big sketchdumps posted on the last page with lines on the paper were obviously scanned. Usually I sketch with pencil on paper, scan that, make adjustments if necessary/if I cba, then do my line work and the rest (coloring, etc.&#8212; sometimes even copypasting separately drawn elements together) in Photoshop. But that's mostly because I feel more like drawing when I'm away from the computer and only have a pencil and paper at my disposal. When i'm at the computer, it distracts me.

But even when I do something completely digital, I do a digital sketch first with a custom brush that resembles a pencil. Here's what the sketch of that last one looked like, if you're curious:

I have a Wacom Bamboo tablet and Photoshop CS3.

I understand about when you wanna draw. I hate it when I get inspiration like crazy, but cannot find any good paper or anything. I plan on getting a tablet so I can color my art with it and stuff. Does the Bamboo work well, I was looking at the intuos, but it is much more expensive. What do you think?

Also, do you have any other fandom art, original characters, etc.?

I like the sketchy lines. I like to do those myself. (mainly because my "steady" hand is for shit)

The coloring is nicely done as well. i can definatly see the process of your steady improvement. Great job!

Thanks. The sketchiness started as laziness, but then I was like fuck it, I don't have to be perfect, I just have to finish it and make it look good. So I've just been doing sketchy line art lately.

I mean, if I had to do something important I could be arsed to take my time perfecting it. But actually finishing and moving on rather than agonizing over small details is a significant improvement for me.

Also, @Tenny&#8212; thanks. I'm a lot prouder of that then other recent stuff I've done, too, and it's made me consider possibly taking a break from fan art for a while and doing the racial artwork for the game that the folks I RPed her with are starting up again. But with how slow I've been with even doing that one up there that I promised you, I'm afraid to commit to it.

I also still intend to finish that purple forum skin that I started months ago... someday.
