Haha these are too general for tag competitions, I think. Dancing and loneliness would probably pass better as movement and emotion.

I was thinking we could have some weeks where the theme was style-based to get people out of their shell a bit. I myself don't experiment with different styles that much so I thought it'd be good for others as well (I really wanna try something with "geometry" as the primary focus). And/or we could have something similar with focus on specific aspects like color, focus, etc. so people can think of new ways to express those uniquely.

Ooo, that's an awesome idea. It'd be fun to make backgrounds and Avies too. I know there are some REALLY awesome avatar makers around this site, and I'd want them to compete so I can vote for their beautiful work. *O*

I mean really, they take like 5 minutes to make at most. Wallpapers on the other hand require a lot of effort (assuming you're making a quality wallpaper) and I don't think many people, including myself, would go for that, much less layouts. It's just really out there. Tags are a good medium because they don't take too long to make yet give enough space to express something.

Stockless theme idea: I like it. (: It's been done before, with pretty good success I think.

The avatar idea is dumb and was already discarded. When I make avatars it takes me a minute or two, so it's hardly worth a competition.

Stock-less as in no stock. Stock is whatever the main subject of the tag is, like a person, an animal, an object, or any photographs or drawings other than those used as abstract elements.

I still don't think too many people would be up for that. Avatars are just really basic and don't really require much effort. I personally don't think they adequately demonstrate one's ability in graphic design, whether it be 1 avatar or 100 avatars.

Yep! Well, kind of. Like as an example with your current SOTW entry in the voting thread, if you just omit the pic of that guy, that's a stockless tag.
