I don't have a problem with the Adventure games, but stuff afterwards gets ridiculous.
Except Sonic 2006. The plot erased itself afterwards because it realized how stupid it is. How kind of it.

I don't think any of the 3D Sonics have been related to any of the 2D ones. The plot pretty much stopped after Sonic and Knuckles. I know Knuckles backstory remained the same, but still.
Sonic 2, 3, and Knuckles all happened right in a row with no time gap in between, I was always a little curious why they never just continued it from there.
Since they're going back to making this 2D, I do wish they'd just make Sonic's legs just turn in a circle again, he never looks like he's going as fast without that.

It'd also be cool if they added the fourth stage they had in Sonic CD where his feet just looked like a ribbon

Well then screw Archie comics and just have SatAM.
All I really know is that the show has Archie characters and is a bit more related to the comic universe.Show was good though, you have to admit.

It takes a longer time to make a cartoon than a comic. DiC created the characters, who were then sent over to ARchie, who then made a comic. The Cartoon took a white to start off, a comic publishes once a month. Hence a lot of people think the cartoon based itself off the comic but it's the other way around.

There are no separate universes in the Sonic games. Hell, in Sonic Adventure, you even see the Metal Sonic you smashed up in Sonic CD in Eggman's lab. A clear homage to the plot of Sonic CD. Sonic Adventure and beyond happened after Sonic 4. That's all.
I actually liked the first Sonic Adventure game, but with Sonic Adventure 2, it was all downhill from there. Sonic Adventure was damn good though.
As for the video, it definitely looks like an alpha release. This shit better not be the way it is in the final version. The jumping physics seem off. Everything else looks good.

Sonic Adventure 2 was also good, by the way. It did go downhill from there, but I enjoyed both Adventure games.

Fuck, I forgot about Spinball. Yeah, that's the only one that's really its own separate universe and such. I hated that game though, so its no surprise.
