I'm eagerly awaiting my order to arrive... might even be this afternoon (and I'm so gonna love it with my 5.1 Surround Sound System!)!!!

No, I won't upload rips of the tracks... I want this to sell well enough that they release the same for Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles.

I'm just lucky that my freelance dog walking is working out as well as it is... never expected it do so well.

In any event, I normally download stuff... but having the money, and wanting another release for the other games (assuming it even happens.. I would have thought they'd do a Sonic1-S&K deal....), I showed my support with my wallet.

I'm also sorta wondering how easy or not it'd be to hack a ROM to use these tracks instead of the programed music?

It has amazed me how fast these imports can come... the CD was sent out Oct. 18th, arrived at JFK on the afternoon of the 19th, and I have it in my hands the morning of the 20th.

I think I'm a pretty avid Sonic player and I have not once - not once - gotten that insta-shield to do a damn thing. It has never protected me from a blow, nor has it ever killed an enemy. I have no idea why.

And I would love to buy that CD, but I hate paying out the ass for imports, just release the damn thing here, so I can pay a reasonable amount for a CD.

I don't recall the insta-shield doing much either... mayyyybe once?

Regarding the import cost:

Subtotal: 3000 yen (US$ 38.53)
Shipping: 1200 yen (US$ 15.26)
Final Order Total: 3600 yen (US$ 46.23)

It would have been a bit cheaper to go with the non-trackable SAL, but I like the trackability and speediness of EMS.

@Vash & Cloud_S: It's all in the timing. Took me a long time to get it just right, but even running at full speed I can get it to work how I want 85% of the time or more. That % goes way up when I'm at mid-level speeds. Its especially good for boss fights, depending on the boss I prefer insta-shield to one of the real shields :monster:
