Okay so why does the description of Sonic CD on the PSN make such a big deal out of the fact that this is the game that introduced the world to Metal Sonic AND Amy Rose?

Also I used to know the guy who programed that (the widescreen and the Tails part). He was a hacker in the Sonic community named Taxman. Who would have thought that hacking games would actually lead to Sega actually HIRING someone?... I wish I had been a hacker

They were not nearly as horrendous as people make them out to be, but yes it will be nice to have bettersome momentum.
I didn't have any problems with the graphics engine though, I thought it was rather pretty. Oh well, as long as his legs still go in a circle dammit, Episode 1 still has that over Generations. (Though I admit Generations had a pretty decent compromise.)
EDIT: Question...but it's about Sonic fans so there's probably no answer. After Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations, you know, the best Sonic games to come out since...what 1999? And Sonic 4 as well, I suddenly see all this bitching about being "sick of playing as just Sonic, bring in other characters!" ...
Is that not what we've been begging Sega to STOP doing for 10 years? Now after 3 good games starring only sonic - which I don't see as a coincidence - you're asking for more bullshit characters again? What the hell Sonic fans, what the hell.
I'm not complaining about the Tails announcement, by the way, that's fine. As I've said before I don't mind any character that plays essentially the same as Sonic, but playing with other 'skins', basically, is never what I'd consider one of the pillars of Sonic.

I don't play Sonic games because I somehow for some reason like the cast of Sonic X or something...
I play Sonic because I like Sonic. Except when I was a kid I would play Sonic 3 as Tails because playing as Tails was, essentially, cheating, since I could fly past all the hard parts and swim through water and not drown and could more easily avoid enemies. But that's not exactly the mark of great gameplay.

Most of the newer Sonic characters are awful. Cream, Big, Shadow... they're all scratch your nails on the chalkboard material. xD

Oh sorry. I didn't mean to say that every Sonic character is awful, just a few of the extra's are really obnoxious sometimes, like Big the cat xD
No a few of them are really good and well developed characters like Tails and Knuckles <3 Yeah Shadow was in the Adventure series.
Yeah, she didn't used to be that bad. In the earlier games/ Sonic media she just admired Sonic just like a normal young girl that has a crush, but these days she's super- psycho over him xD
