I got really hyped up for a Sonic/ Megaman universe game, because those games are brilliant and a game featuring those universes both together would be like nerd heaven for me.

But it's only for the comics, it's not a game at all.

Nothing wrong with comics, but it would've been better as a video game....

Can you picture zooming around as Sonic in a Megaman universe or Megaman fighting Dr Robotnik ? It would be sweet.

Yeah, the comics pretty much do their own thing. They started out pretty much as a continuation of SatAM, but over the years have evolved and eventually the Sega cast got written into it as well.

If any of that is true (and I have small feeling that at least some of it is) then I really really like the sound of it to be honest. It's a bit like mixing the level style of S3&K with the freedom of Sonic Adventure and gameplay of Generations - I'm more than cool with all of that.

Sonic The Hedgehog getting 3DS re-release.

It's kinda packed with features. You can change the screen to "faux CRT" or normal style, the 3D is implemented with the parallax scrolling backgrounds, the sound emulation can be changed between Mega Drive I and II modes etc. Looks good.

Shame I don't have a 3DS :D

Man, that fucking sucks. Oh well, I guess whenever I get around to getting a Wii U (which isn't anytime soon) I'll have Sonic waiting for me.

Sorry, but right now, the Wii U's trash. No fucking compelling reason to get one yet.

Competition is good for the consumers. Anybody who wishes there to be less competition just so you can enjoy all your games on one system is a bit of a fool tbh. :comedian:

I don't want there to be less competition, I want Sonic, Zelda (and maybe even Mario) on a system I'm going to own. This game (and the inevitable sequels) should be multiplatform. Fuck both Sega and Nintendo for this bullshit.

I remember back in the glory days when the game industry was basically Nintendo vs Sega. The idea of Sonic being on Nintendo consoles has always felt strange to me because of this. I don't think my feelings will ever change. :P

Yanno, it might be a Bayonetta 2 kind of thing. Sega couldn't fund the project so Nintendo stepped in when no one else would.
I think Sega might need the support of a big publisher more than Nintendo needs them. I don't think they pull this stuff for shits and giggles.

I used to be a pretty strong Sega girl when I was younger but after borrowing a friend's old SNES and N64 I really learnt to love and enjoy both consoles. Also Youtube taught me that Sega was a bit of an asshole towards Nintendo during the wars. Sonic being on a console with Mario and Zelda would be fantastic and would show that Sega and Nintendo are both great as each other. Though yeah, it does feel really odd seeing Sonic hang out with what once a upon time was his biggest enemy.

I hate it when those who were young or grew up during the wars won't give the rival console to them a chance. Brentalfloss is a huge example of this, waiting for him to do a Sonic song would be like waiting for a flying pig with wings wearing a tutu fly across the sky; in other words almost impossible only because Sonic was " Sega "

Sonic and Mario being on the same console would be really healthy towards gamers young and old; and I feel it would stop this blind hate towards both really great now old consoles and groups.

I don't care about Mario and Sonic being on the same console. I care about Sonic being exclusively on a console I couldn't care less about.
