Great! Except for the near impossibility to play these type of games on touchscreens, great I guess or whatever.
The appeal of a remastered, totally finished Sonic 2 is legit awesome though. I wish it wasn't confined to phones.

You know, the dude from Sonic Retro that did these ports is the same guy that did the Sonic CD port for PS3 and XBox, so I'm kinda hoping they either re-release those or patch the current versions (which I also already have. Yes I like Sonic that much ;-

EDIT: So I'm playing it now, and wow, that water-rise of death from Chemical Plant Zone Act 2 just took on a whole new level of scary. I managed to escape it but I still despise these controls, I honestly NEED buttons to be able to play this game effectively.

I think it is time for the Sonic series to go into a completely new direction. How about a game where Sonic is in a rehab center for his meth addiction. We learn that everything we have seen him do in other games are just delusions for what he was really doing: finding money for his next fix and the destruction of himself and everyone one around him.

So I've been playing Sonic 2 for iOS now and again and I somehow managed to make it to mystic cave zone (I seriously suck at these touch screen controls). So on Mystic Cave zone act 2, you know that big pit with the spikes at the bottom that you have no choice but to die in if you fall into it?
THAT'S NOT THE CASE ANYMORE!
I fell in because of the stupid touchscreen controls, and instead of hitting the spikes Sonic just kept falling, then I ended up in Hidden Palace Zone! I know we knew they were adding it in but I had no idea that this was where it was, so I need to admit that the addition of it here is really cool because I genuinely felt like a child finding something new in a Sonic game

And I've played the Hidden Palace Zone that was released in that hacked ROM, this version is much better. There's a boss at the end that beat me. I guess I'll see how it goes the next time nature calls.

Thoughts on Hidden Palace
- Nice thinking by removing the annoying spike trap, now the zone feels so much better now there's no death trap lying about, just waiting for you to fuck up & all
- Really dislike the choice of music for Hidden Palace, I think it's Mystic Caves Zone, player 2 instead of the elegant song that was planned for the zone originally
- Loved the boss, it's very Dr Robotnik beats Phantom of the Opera meets Trombone
- The Zone looks very beautiful and stunning
