Star Trek's lensfares were minimal and good, so I dont get why the unlimited lensflare.

Because you can't get laughs out of mimicking a trait that isn't used in excess, so you have to dial it up to eleven for anyone to find it funny

I didn't really have a problem with the lens flare either, but calling them "minimal" is equally absurd.

Its like in the new spiderman, they added particles in the air for the 3d effect that was kinda distracting... i dunno.

In Star trek, i think it was ok in action scenes and big visual effects shots, but when they're standing on the deck having a convo with close ups, and flairs are obscuring their faces, it seems a bit wierd

By the way, Hamill, Fisher, Ford, and Williams have all indicated that they'd be willing to return, and apparently there are plans to bring them back. I wouldn't be surprised if other cast members end up returning for this as well.

At this rate, it is quite possible that this may end up being actually good.

I dunno, Billy Dee Williams still looks a bit like Lando It's to be expected they'd all look different, though; they've all aged thirty years since Return of the Jedi, after all

Well, sure, and Ford looks like that (maybe Williams too, I actually thought you meant John Williams). Fisher looks very different and Hamill is damn near unrecognizable.

I didn't even think to specify I meant Billy Dee because I didn't think of John Williams. xD I'm sure he'll probably return too; it wouldn't be a Star Wars film without him. He's getting old, though. He's eighty.
