You know what my favorite scene with Jar Jar is? When you see him suspended in carbonite in The Force Unleashed.

I actually didn't mind JarJar at all.

Main character material he is not, though.

I don't mind him either, though I guess he probably wouldn't be main character material. If Episode VII does star an already existing character, it'll probably be Boba Fett or something.

I am quite excited about this myself. Disney has managed to avoid fucking up other properties its acquired so far, so I have faith the new Star Wars movies will be good. At the very least you can't deny that there is some potential here.

Could be terrible I suppose if its handled wrong, but whatever. I wonder what direction the story will take? I would hope for a combination of a new republic/Jedi Academy plot that allows the new characters to learn from the old ones like Luke and Leia in the first movie, and take over as full on heroes as the movies progress.

Semi-unrelated: I was reading something today, not sure if it was a fanfic or canon extended universe stuff, but apparently some time in the timeline (by the sounds of it, the distant future, after episode 6), the Sith and Jedi rarely come in contact, but find themselves teaming up to defeat a "greater enemy"... something that eats the force :wacky:. Now that is a story I want to see.

That would be the Fate Of The Jedi series. If you want to read it the first book is called Outcast, but I wouldn't reccomend it. It goes downhill hard after the fourth book.
