At this point, even before seeing any of the episode aside from that clip, I'm certain that Maul dropping the fact that he knows Kanan Jarrus is an alias that Caleb Dume took up after Order 66 to hide is just more subtle foreshadowing of Maul's ultimate intentions and current goal – you know, given the fact that Obi-Wan is calling himself "Old Ben" and living away in a ramshackle old hut that might be described as, "a dull and dour chamber" if one were so-inclined do describe the old Jedi's quarters as such.


I literally cannot contain my excitement about these little developments & hints. (Also- seeing Maul use Kylo Ren's Dark Side mind reading stuff was rad as hell).

That episode was brilliant and everything I wanted.

The fact that both Maul's hunt for Obi-Wan & Ezra's hunt for the key to destroying the Sith both pointed to Tatooine was simply genius. Endlessly pleased.

I think that that's because of Pablo Hidalgo & Dave Filoni. Those two interviews with them gave me infinite confidence in their and Story Group's ability to make Star Wars stuff the best it's ever been.

The good stuff starts are 2:34. The Ahsoka Novel audiobook's being read by Ashley Eckstein!!! This is everything that I've ever wanted. It's apparently telling the story from around when she left covering Order 66 up before she becomes Fulcrum AND it covers when she gets her lightsabers.

NEED. NEED SO BADLY.

It looks like this is likely going to be inspired by the Japanese Holdoouts in WWII. What with Pablo Hidalgo mentioning The Longest Day being a good film with the reveal of the Russian Rogue One poster, and Rian Johnson requiring his crew to watch films like Twelve O’Clock High, Letter Never Sent, & The Bridge on the River Kwai, I think that Star Wars is very much drawing from its WWII-era roots, and I quite honestly couldn't be happier about it.

Well I was going to go to the Ahsoka signing on Friday but realistically, there is noooo way for me to get to San Diego in time. I leave work at 4 and you're supposed to buy a copy of the book in the store earlier in the day to secure a spot in line.

So I'm going to The Grove on November 6th instead.
Unless, you know, the universe hates me.

Oh man. There're artifacts in there from EVERYTHING. I am SO stoked for this episode. An artistic shrine to Satine's death (with her death music playing in the background), his Mandalorian Trooper helmets seen all throughout Son of Dathomir. The friggin' Darksaber – and they're probably on Dathomir to boot! Oh man, I can only imagine what Thrawn would do if he found HALF of this stuff...
