One less element to introduce in a single film. I'm not saying it's true to the original tale, and I don't think it's going to happen, but I can see it happening for narrative simplicity.

I really don't what would be complicated about having both. Venom is a simple advanced steroid. There would be no real need to develop it beyond that.

I'm not saying 'It would be too complicated' but that for various reasons, I could see the two being merged for a more streamlined narrative.

Single set piece, only one element to deal with during filming, for practical concerns, it gives Bane and Ras a reason to work together and/or explains their connection in some manner. But that's based on massive wild speculation on ways they very well could but probably won't take the film.

For another example, in the Burton Film, making Joker the guy who killed Bruce's parents. Not true to the comic canon, but it was done for narrative expedience. It happens.

The Pit isn't exclusive to Ras, several other characters have used it before, including Bane. However, the pit itself could suggest Talia's involvement. The League of Shadows infiltrated every system in Gotham, which would naturally include Wayne Enterprises.

They mostly all behave the same. I think only the most potent pits could resurrect the dead though.

Oh, Black Canary, Jason Todd(though he wasn't dead at the time), Shiva and Cassandra Cain have used the pit before too.

Also, considering it can bring back the dead, shouldn't it fix his skin issues? Or are they even skin issues in the current timeline? I forget if the Red Hood has anything to do with his ill known backstory anymore.

Apparently resurrection is a tricky issue. Lazarus pits can fix most injuries. I guess it's not really an injury anymore and it's just his skin and hair color.
