My point here isn't that you guys can't/shouldn't talk about the same shit over and over again. I frequent this thread a lot, I've repeated myself and recycled old as fuck LTD conversations on more than one occasion. It's the fucking internet, we're all entitled to doing whatever the fuck we want to.

My point is that circlejerking over how awesome cloti is and how right you are doesn't really constitute as any sort of discussion, nor is it really that entertaining. Shit, I don't care if you do it. But don't think you're any better than the clerises, and don't think you're somehow changing their minds or proving them wrong. They seriously are not listening.

I don't see anything wrong with pointing out bullshit, to be honest. I mean, if people are going to actually bother spewing out bullshit in the first place, I don't see anything wrong with discussing that bullshit, no matter how many times we might have already spoken about it. It's entertaining, I should add. My main problem with this thread isn't that, though. People here still act as if they give a shit or, and I'm pretty sure they don't give a shit about how the bullshit they pull, considering how the majority don't even bother debating anyways. Thank you guys. Seriously, even if we don't see 100% eye to eye, this is basically all Winter and I are trying to get across -- I have no idea why this is such a hard concept for some (lol who am I kidding, moar like three) people to grasp.

(oh and I know i contribute to like, 80% of that spam but tbqh this thread is far better as a general ff chit chat thread. which, btw, we should really have.)

Obviously Winter and I stuck around for about three threads of this shit so it's not like we're out telling anyone they're jackasses for discussing the LTD. We all like talking about it, to some extent. But the posts really are starting to smell more and more like desperation -- god, I remember a couple of threads ago people actually seemed upset the Cleris fans wouldn't come here and debate. While it's not as bad as before, this "discussion" of arguments seems more and more like a plea for attention from a side that seriously doesn't care anymore.

This is the place to discuss the LTD of Final Fantasy VII. Feel free to start the topic off however you wish, as long as its on topic. Some guidelines, c/p from the previous topic.

-The LTD debate/discussion is still an active and valid part of the fandom, so it'll always be welcome here. I just want to say that the LTD thread in itself is not in any sort of danger. However...

-The LTD thread has sort of turned into a glorified chit chat thread. This is not what it's for. It's for discussion of the LTD, no more, no less. No porn, no image macroing, no fanart, no bullshit chatter, etc etc. Before you start whining, many other parts of the forum are already for these purposes as it is, so take it there. Concentrating 3-4 facets of discussion into one topic instead of taking them to their respective channels is a bit counterproductive and disorganized to the overall community, even if you guys are having fun with it.

-No spam. The topic doesn't have to be deadly serious, but everyone here has sort of a habit of spewing word vomit as posts instead of actually sitting down in your head and seeing what you're about to type is worth a damn. The Chit Chat thread is the place to do this, not the LTD thread.

-And of course keeping the LTD thread about the LTD is only fair to the people who actually want to discuss it.

Fiona, I would actually argue that while technically off topic, a lot of the recent posts have been incredibly constructive. Other mods may close if they like, but given my general philosophy of airing one's grievances publicly and civilly, I do approve of what Z and LV are doing. I could only hope many of their, I guess compatriots would be a good neutral word, would be as forthcoming and open to actual discussion, and more folks on our side would be open to that, in addition to just calling out bullshit.

And remember, call bullshit on your own more readily than you'd call bullshit on your adversary.

I am kind of curious to see if anyone ever said "If Square said Cloud and Tifa shared romantic feelings, then yeah that'd end the LTD, but they never will." or something Because I've seen stuff like that, one was that if Square had Cloud and Tifa as an official couple on the relationship charts, that would end it. Of course Square didn't do that, but I always wondered what would happen if they did.
