The one thing that always confused me about that image of Cloud and Tifa unconscious is why they used it for the "Cloud and Tifa" entry in the Crisis Core keyword Collection. I mean there HAD to be a better picture to use than one where they're both unconscious after one had passed out due to being beaten and the other due to a fatal disease.

Anyway, your above quote makes a good point. The initial "you guys are pathetic" shit was lame, regardless of whether or not it was 'intended' as an example of the aforementioned 'good quote'. Probably looked good in design, but it failed on execution. This is much better.

I thought it was to! Not like in the outright in your face anime-blushy type scenario. Just romantic if you look at the scene in the point of view of the compilation. They are talking about the promise, The Nibelhiem song plays in the background, and it proves Clouds guilt, is not JUST Zack and Aerith, its his responsibility to protect those alive as well, and keep his promise. I always thought it showed alot of Clouds true emotional feelings for Tifa in that scene.
So its romantic in that point.

But no srsly, I think that scene is romantic. x'D Basically everything Shu said. Why in the hell would they bother adding that kind of music, while having the camera pan over Cloud and Tifa in such a way? The fact that Cloud comes rushing to her and even holds her at all means something. I can't believe some think that Cloud looks like he doesn't care in this scene. :eye rolling goes here:. This scene is all about caring for Tifa!
If they just wanted to show two people beaten up, they wouldn't have bothered with the music, and the lingering Cloud/Tifa shot. Mmm durrr.

I completely agree. I'm not sure if its just real bad timing, or if the Geostigma thing has abit of a link to Clouds guilt (Can't remember, plausible figuring the whole Sephiroth-Jenova theme of the illness) but I always took that part where his arm went crazy on him and started melting as a bit of a look at HOW important it is to Cloud that he fucks up and can't rescue Tifa like he'd like to.
That and the wolf that symbolizes Clouds guilt kind of reinforces his will to protect Tifa and failing had something to do with his panic attack. Thats romantic to me, just in a more subtle way. The emotion behind the scene is romantic D:
I know the argument Cloud also holds Kadaj gets brought up (are you serious? Really?) But Cloud hasn't shared mutual feelings of desire with Kadaj.(To my knowledge.
) That and Tifa and Cloud weren't just trying to kill eachother.

I really hate when this gets brought up too: "If Cloud were holding Barret the same way, it wouldn't be romantic". Of COURSE it wouldn't. They haven't exchanged feelings either, lol. Though if Barret and Cloud were laying in the same way with that sort of music playing, I would be a little concerned... xD And of course, replace Tifa in this scene with Aerith and it will instantly become a romance. MAN I am rolling my eyes a lot!

Mako adds the images, and more than the book originally had, and I think he does try to replicate the same images used originally. Like for the Dissidia stuff, he went and found out images of the same scenes from the English versions of the games to use. Maybe not as rigidly with the CC stuff. I guess he didn't think it would matter as much as with the Dissidia ones there it was usually a very exact reference, whereas the CC images are just. Images, mostly

That's not the picture they originally used in the book, which was a screenshot from the Highwind scene from the original game (specifically the 'words aren't the only way...' line) and a shot from AC (when it's night after Tifa wakes up in Seventh Heaven).

Destinies colliding generally implies comradery, whereas it intertwining typically implies intimacy.
Converging is also generally in the comrade sense as well.
A destined encounter- one its own- means technically little. However, using the phrase to refer to people IN A RELATIONSHIP is actually pretty heavy shit.
Especially if you even remotely believe in red string romance.
To sum up, not all destiny is the same destiny. A destined encounter is different from a shared or colliding destiny is different from an intertwining one.
ON THE CARDS
None of them mention the saucer date as far as I can see.
How about the ladies who want to use these as proof pony up the scans.
