If I were to take a guess at their logic, we said there isn't any romance in Dissidia, which there isn't, and now that Tifa is in this new one, they want us to start saying there is so they can claim backpeddling.

I find it funny that Destiny Failed says a thread has 10 pages of Tifa-bashing.
In the thread they link, she isn't even mentioned until the 2nd page and then most of the comments are like "yay Tifa!" and perfectly valid comments that she not be like in KH2 where she was running around looking for Cloud mindlessly. Unless you count "I hope Tifa is more independant in this game, no looking for Cloud under chairs please!", or discussion over Aerith's possible inclusion as bashing, I didn't really see any Tifa bashing until page 5.
As always that place achieves what I can only assume is its goal of spreading lulz by acting exactly like the pinker-Cleriths they mock.

The only reason Aerith had initial interest in Cloud was because he reminded her of Zack, however, her sustained interest OBVIOUSLY stems from her obsession with Tifa. She left Cloudy boy in the park to chase after Tifa and sex her...erm...rescue her from the Honey Bee Inn.
Questions like: "So what's the deal with you and Tifa, Cloud? Is she your girlfriend or is she like available?" give clear insight to Aerith's motivation to become a party member.
Aerith: "Two completely different people, but look exactly the same. The way you walk, gesture...I think I must have seen him again, in you...But you're different. Things are different... Do you think I have a chance with Lockhart?"

And, to expand on this, Aerith made Cloud get geostigma because she was afraid that he would steal Tifa away from her since he was alive and she way dead. Once she saw that Tifa might be killed if Sephiroth was allowed to return, she healed Cloud.
Though her plans in ACC were foiled, she still plans to kill him Cloud some other way so she can return and claim Tifa as her own without him getting in the way.
