Unfortunately, I don't believe we have an exact timeline with which to say that with. I'd presume they took between the lengths of FF7 and FFIX, so more than a month but less than four?

It's an extrapolation based on the sizes of the continents (or continent, in Spira's case), known passages of time, a few inferences, and allowances for the occasional sidequest. Especially in the case of 10, since the pilgrimage of the summoner is as much propaganda as it is world saving quest, a maximum of face time for the Summoner seems reasonable, especially given the rather leisurely pace of the progression. I also don't assume that all of the places connect together perfectly, though a number of them do. There's also necessary mobilization times, etc. I figure 10-2 takes place over roughly the same time, too.

I'll check for specifics once I get home with my Ultimanias, but these are just rough guesses.

I still don't get that. I've already ranted about that, but there's one other thing I wanna mention... and it's that CloudxAerith being more of a fantasy... well, that's kind of a negative thing. I'm not sure how to explain it properly, but the fact that some CxA fans are admitting Cloud and Aerith are a fairytale pair makes it seem even more fanon than it already is.

思い = can be any kind of thought. Calm, evil, unpleasant, nice, love.
想い = more emotional, affectionate.

'想い' was also the word used in the original game to refer to Aerith's prayer/wish for Holy. (This was the one that Sony translated as "memories of Aeris" and "Aeris' memory".) I've usually seen it as being used to denote something heartfelt and sincere.

BTW, has anyone read the Clerith entry on urbandictionary.com?
