Yeah, just like how us "Clotis" started spewing rage and vomit when Aerith called Cloud her koibito and we would change the definition of the word because Aerith said it and...Oh wait.
So I have a question to ask anyone who feels like answering. I recently read a couple of Clerith fans say that Cloud holding Tifa and caressing her cheek in CC is a retcon to appease rabid Clotis and its canonicity is questionable.
Now, these same people will argue that SE is trying to send fans a message in AUs. Anyone else see the problem here? Why do scenes added to AUs carry more weight than scenes added to the canon compilation?
Because those AU scenes look pink to them. The AU bits that don't look pink get ignored. For example, a major kerfluffle is made of Ehrgeiz's 2P mode and having Cloud and Tifa fight, but no one has ever, to my knowledge- outside of DesFail's snark- noted that Cloud and Tifa are Guardian and Summoner and what that might mean.
Similarly, they made this romantic light/ inner light divide nonsense, and still try and dismiss the obvious 'Tifa is Cloud's light' because they're still so invested in Aerith being it.
But yes, That's like trying to find the ZOMFG TRUTH To a story by a character's cameo somewhere else.
No, wait, that's EXACTLY what it is. Only more ludicrous.
Not depicted in the original game = fanservice for rabid Clotis.
No, even if depicted in FF7 itself , if C/T is mere fanservice for rabids. Hence why it's 'All in the past' with C/T, but Cloud will pine forever for the girl no one can ever show he loved while she was alive...
The validity of something as canon IN THE COMPILATION itself was questioned?
I question the validity of the statements that Cloud has undying feelings for Aerith. It's just something in a stupid book added to appease rabid Cleriths.
*facepalm*
PS, these people at one point said CC was acanonical. At the same time, they insist Dissidia and FFT and KH are Trufax and more pink than pink itself.
Tangent: Apparently merging the two posts has removed the thanks from both. Anyone who had thanked it and still wants to ought to rethank it.
