I don't get why Aerith not appearing much in AC scans means she was too important to be used in advertising, but the same thing happening with Tifa (only being kept completely secret this time) somehow means that she wasn't important enough at all.

Usually you hide the bits that are important.

But after "CC is less canon than KH" I don't know what to believe any more. There's no emoticon for what I'm feeling.

Heh, I think it's funny that in those quotes it keeps stating that Tifa is shown on her own all the time in scans... but in the KH2 Guide Book, it's Tifa, Cloud, and Sephiroth who are on the same page together, while Aerith is in the front of the book. =/

Using scans of two characters next to one another as proof is just a bad move. It doesn't mean anything. It's like trying to use merchandise. Fact is that there is just as much Cloud and Tifa merch as there is Cloud and Aerith. Same with fucking scans. How about using quotes instead of scans where two characters are doing nothing but being next to eachother without it actually meaning anything. ;

I recently read a couple of Clerith fans say that Cloud holding Tifa and caressing her cheek in CC is a retcon to appease rabid Clotis and its canonicity is questionable.

O lol. They're just butthurt that Cloud caressed Tifa's cheek out of affection, not because she was dead. Strange- Aerith can only get Cloud to hold when she's passing away and he's mourning the loss of someone dear. Tifa doesn't even have to try to get Cloud all over her.

I wonder why?

As for Tifa in KH2, I'll say it again, it always felt rushed and out of place to me. I do wonder how the story original went without her.

No. They said the exact opposite, because they wanted Tifa in KH before but couldn't, thus they wanted to make sure she was included in KH2.

Nope. They had wanted Tifa in KH from the beginning, and having failed to work her in properly in KH, they wanted to make sure she was in as more than a simple cameo in KH2, and they explained her role in the story as Cloud running from something warm, much like Tifa was after in AC, While pretending to chase after Sephiroth.

Something like that anyways. CBA to double check.

Ya, I'm sick of seeing the comments about it at CxA. They act like that joke is confirmation for all their claims that Tifa is a moron down through the years.

Haven't played the game, but I've seen the scene on youtubez. Thought it was cute and funny, myself.
