Didn't the Cid/Vin one come out of a line when everyone's at the hotel in gold saucer and Cid says to Vincent 'let's go to bed' or something similar?

I remember that. And Cid was already asleep in the chair he'd been sitting in :monster: I wouldn't be surprised if that's where it started. I love Cid/Vin <3

Personally I think 'shipping' for the sake of 'shipping' and absolutely nothing else is inbred level retarded.

I don't ship for the sake of shipping. The only fanships I support are Ash and Misty and Guts and Griffith.
Now you people saying "oh god yaoi" need to pipe down. There is legitimate evidence to them having a thing. Well it's mainly Griffith but ships are often one-sided.

Anyway, the reason i like Yuffentine is because I enjoy opposing characteristics in my couples. Yuffie is the young, bubbly girl and Vincent is the older, stoic man. There's no telling the whacky adventures they could get up to if they started to date.

As it has been said before, it's not about the fanship per se, it's about forcing said fanship down other people's throats. Hell, I myself though back in the day that Yuffie and Vincent looked good together, and I've done even craziest pairings, but the thing is to be able to tell fanship from canon.

They appear in a couple of scene together.

The only basis you need to ship any characters together, regardless as to what happened in those scenes :awesome:
Wrong. You only need two characters that exist to have fans shipping them. I've seen ships of characters that never interacted, hell, who don't even know each other. I won't comment about crossover pairings either :monster: And let's not forget the Sues/Stus/self insert with the main hero/heroine either :wacky:

Shipping for fun is mostly harmless, IMHO. What's really grating my nerves, though, is to consider it canon when it's not - just, WTF - or the spite shipping. Now that is just bad >_>
