I don't like when people are overly dramatic saying things like "I want to die" and "I don't deserve to live". Not in the joking way you normally see, but are actually acting like it's the end of their life.

Because most of the time they don't mean it and it is exactly what I think - over dramatic. However, I treat it as if they are actually feeling that way and I get hella worried wondering what the right thing to say is, and doing all I can to pull that person from their feeling...

What's worse is that I don't help most of the time. Said person (people) end up leaving and I end up worrying for a night (or several) and when they show up again - happy as a clam. Idk... I don't like constantly worrying especially if I really don't have to.

I guess my wish is that people would stop saying they want to die and treating those words like they are no big deal to say, because I take it pretty seriously. ;c Also I hope this didn't come across the wrong way, I tried to word it very carefully X_X

• Message board drama. I'm probably partially responsible for the latest outburst. Which, sorry.
• Customers being dicks about the fact that we don't know everything. I very clearly went out of my way to try to figure out information about a customer's request. But they didn't even have a goddamn name of an artist, just a couple of letters that they thought might be the first letter of the artist's name, and the fact that they were on some television show that I don't watch. I mean, come on. Do they really expect people to watch every damn television show to know who's appeared on it recently? Ridiculous.
• Went to ask a manager for assistance on the topic, and they weren't able to provide what I was looking for. About five minutes after the customer left I had been fucking around on the company website and figured out that there was a feature exactly like I was looking for which the manager didn't even know about. Felt bad man.
• Receiving is just a fucking disaster area. According to the receiving manager the new employee they hired for the area has proven so utterly incompetent and so utterly unwilling to listen to anything anyone tells him that they are already considering firing him. I don't believe anyone has ever been let go after a week while I've been working. It must take a special kind of suck to accomplish that. To be fair, it's the kid's first job, but this was my first job as well (I've held it for almost five years) and I've never had any major trouble.
• Naturally, this is slowing down my shelving a lot.
• Several sections of the store are once again completely overstocked with books. Luckily I'm being allowed to deal with some of this in addition to shelving.
