Tifa's Design: Has It Gotten Better?

As for if Tifa's design has improved, I don't think it has. In fact, I find there to be something very bland about not only her face, but her clothes as well. Any time I see her AC outfit, it's like she fades and becomes one with the background... Not saying that I find it to be "ugly", but like I said my brain almost has trouble registering her.

I like her original design, not because of her supposed attractiveness, but because of how her tank top and short skirt reflect the decadent world she lives in. Midgar, a place of dirt, rust, social injustice, prostitution, pollution... I'm having trouble putting it into words, but Tifa's skimpy outfit indeed feels like a reflection of Midgar's aesthetic.
I feel it also mirrors something about her personality but since I suck at character study, I won't even try to put this into words.

Tifa's AC outfit was lame. And I'm probably the biggest Tifa fan out there. :T It still sucked.

But, if we're taking into account her dissidia update, I have to say it's my fave thus far. Her features were softened and she simply looks beautiful. Better than any of her previous renders, imo.

I still say people put to much importance on that dolphin tail. It STILL looks to me that it's just motion in her original concept art...but yes I know it's on her battle sprite. And I prefer my Tifa with large-but-conceivable boobs thanks.

I don't know why she hazel eyes though, I'll give you that one. But besides that I think her Dissidia render is beautiful.

It doesn't even look like "motion" in the concept(it's not really concept art though, it's her official art) art. It's not just her battle model either(there are no character sprites in FF7 nigger), it's her world model too.

Tifa's boobs were never inconceivably large anyway. People are fucking morons.

Because AC turned her into Riona's big sister. She looks more like a stereotypical asian idol than Tifa.

They were made more proportionate and less ridiculous - but still above average / big / big in proportion - in AC.

It's not that they weren't big in FF7, but they were inconsistently huge in FF7. The scene Aki cited is the biggest of the big, and most others look a lot more reasonable.

I think the reason a lot of people have so much of an issue with Tifa's original outfit in FFVII is because it looks like something someone would wear in real life, and it's revealing.
With these other outfits, yeah they're revealing but they're from a fantasy world and have "fantasy" qualities to them so it's okay. No one would wear that in real life. It's just a costume for the game.
But with Tifa her clothes look a lot more realistic. It's easier to imagine someone in the 90's wearing that than it is to picture someone now walking around dressed like Ashe.
So it's that realism that draws people's attention. It's not so fantastical of an outfit which takes away the 'fantasy' excuse.

In all honesty, Yuna's X-2 outfit pissed me off way more than any of Tifa's.
