I've booked off 25th August with work. It's yet to go through HR, but no one on my team has it off and I can always change it if we change dates. But yay, Cumrbia!

There are buses. Sometimes. It'll be peak season. You don't want to go in winter when it's like 1 bus an hour.

In any case we should factor in how people are travelling when we decide where we're gonna stay

I'm flexible on demand, if there's enough folk heading up from Brum I can hire a larger vehicle for the weekend (I'm good to drive up to a fifteen-seater on my licence as I'm doing exactly that for the solstice and Psychedelic Society of Brum). This could also make it easier for collecting folk from train stations and bus stations/stops nearer the venue.
The earlier I know, the better OFC. Let me get the next week out of the way and I'll get on to sorting somewhere we can crash at.

Yeah but when I wear contacts, people hold doors open for me and are much more amenable. I wonder if it's pity because I squint at everything like a nervous baby bat? I scowl a lot more wearing glasses I think. Either way my policy of being punch happy has only gotten me into trouble a dozen or so times.

Pretty sure the train is only like 2 hours maximum, although it depends on where you're going in Cumbria.
