Did you read some of the things that were being posted on the Qhimm forums? Purposeful disruption of discussions? The flaming of users for no reason? I'd say that's acting pretty immature.

And have you realized that by continuously posting on that topic at Qhimm (and now posting in here) you are probably only fuelling the very same thing you claim to be trying to avoid/end.

Not pointing any fingers, just sayin' it as it seems to me. If you ask me, the more "attention" you give to a matter/issue, the bigger the probability of things escalating even further. Your intention, even if it has merit, will likely only accomplish the exact opposite of what you intended: attract more attention to this issue and cause people to go at it again.

I sincereily doubt, from what I've seen at Qhimm, that any TLS member will keep posting on that thread unless that Seifer person comes back at it and posts more garbage. If he does, then, IMHO, the people here have every right to voice their opinions as well and set the record straight.

I'm sure you all know about this topic. Starting on the 2nd page it turns from you all defending yourselves into basically trying to say everyone is wrong for everything they say. Which while some of the points are correct, there are a few things that are taken out of context simply to try to continue the fight/start a new one.

And ok, flaming was the wrong word to use, I just woke up over here. But anyway, you get the idea. And all I'm asking is for the fight to stop.

Is there some rule for having a dissenting opinion and vocalizing it on your forum? Because it just seems bizarre to automatically expect everyone to go with his idea and not voice anything to the contrary. If he's going to put his idea and project on the internet, why should he be shielded from constructive criticism of the idea? No one said for him to stop. The poster just voiced their opinion of it being a ridiculous and bizarre attempt at redoing the game. He shouldn't get butthurt over it.

I have no idea how any of that is taking things out of context. The guy was insulting, rude and arrogant. And if he's going to continue to talk crap and paint a different view of the truth, it's only natural for people to want to call out his lies and distortions. Why don't you actually tell him to take responsibility for his obtuse and rude behavior, instead of telling us to not be offended by it and ignore it? Why is he not being told to change and take responsibility for the part he played?

That being said, I do think all that can be said on this issue has been said. And while I can't control what members here do outside this forum, I will ask that people please let it go since nothing seems to be coming of it. DLPB/Seifer isn't gonna stop acting like a dick, and the world will keep going. It's just sadly how it is.

Like I said (in regards to the Cait Sith topic), have an opinion is one thing and just fine and dandy. But he's telling people to completely stop a project that people have already started.

As far as taking things out of context, all I've been doing from the start is telling people to stop and there have been i think two people who have used my saying "stop it" to try and bring up a new direction on "lets continue it".

As far as him taking responsibility...

1. Do you really think hes the kind of guy who actually would.
2. It seems quite apparent that the actual Mods/Admins on Qhimm are either dead or don't care.

Kind of. If you don't like a mod, don't install it; no-one is forcing you to use it. If someone wants to do something impossible or illegal, we'll tell them. If not, we ignore the project and let them get on with it if we don't like it. Also, there's a fine line between "constructive criticism" and telling people what to do with their game, and I think that line was crossed a few times in that thread.

I think people here were initially impressed by the translation project, it was something we wanted to get involved with... but obviosly that was never going to be possible. We joined quimm to see if we could give some constructive critisism over there, since it wasnt being listened to here.

I might be the only one, but i was under the impression the cait sith thing was part of the translation project, which im pretty sure initially was. Thats the problem i had with it.

I just think he's destroying a project that shows potential by not listening to differing opinions.

Anyway, i wont be posting there again. Its useless, and the project will go to shit. And im not a fan of dramawhoring. Its just getting old.

Read the thread again. The poster didn't say to stop the project or order them to. They said it was a bad idea and they couldn't fathom why they'd do something so stupid. There's a difference. Stop equating a differing opinion and criticism as someone trying to stop their project. Jesus.

You're right about one thing. He probably wouldn't give a shit because he's set in his ways. But don't paint a picture of us somehow trolling or being rude when this guy is clearly in the wrong.

That's the beauty of the internet and discussion forums. When you post, you put yourself out there to have your post and idea critiqued. Maybe if he wasn't a thick headed and defensive poster who earned himself a pretty bad reputation with his bad attitude and arrogance, the criticism would've stayed civil, but asking people for input and ideas and then biting back when his ideas aren't unanimously accepted happily is grade school immaturity. If you're discussing a mod that's deliberately taking out a character because you don't like them and they're ingrained into the very plot, no shit someone's gonna vocalize criticism of that idea. He could've discussed intelligently and maturely without going "LEAVE ME ALONE ITS MAH PROJECT, I'LL DO WAT I WANT!"

Dear dear....as you can see carnage, it is a complete waste of time. The admin and most mods here are infact aggitators.

Look at all the thanks he has got for that very erroneous post.

Let me just clear a few things up here:

1. I do have support from some people on qhimms but they are choosing not to post and for good reason

2. Carnage is not an ally, in fact he seems to blame me for it all which is wrong, but even still you have rounded on him because he is being a neutral and isn't kow towing to the idea that it is ok for you all to come sign up inciting more trouble.

3. The admin here mako eyes, happened to think it is ok for a few membrs to sign up at a forum which has nothing to do with him and then try to sabotage that thread with continous derailing tactics. There is NO DEBATE here Mako Eyes. The fact is, some of your members (with your blessing) have come to a forum and are ruining it for everyone else as well.

4. There are 2 japanese tarnslators who have come from here and as you have seen we are getting along very nicely in a proper envirnoment., I am listening to every word they are saying because they are giving a bit of respect and are listening. I have already altered more in 1 day at qhimms than a whole week at this dreadful DUMP.

5. It was never my intention to merge cait sith and translation projects. In fact I made this clear from the get go. It was also plainly obvious since I used 2 threads.

6. Pixel is an out and out wind up who has had NOTHING to further progress. Let me explain. Quimms is a MODDING forum. If one does not like a MODDING thread or project they STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM IT? Capiche?

7. I am an arrogant bastard. I make no apologies for it. When I see some of the brick walls and children here including mako blind, I have no choice but to hit back and had you 1 iota of sense you would not have been so ignorant to the debate. Some here and by some I mean a majority, love derailing threads because they dont like the project(s) 1 twat from here even stated "why are you agreeing with him" and "shhhh I just don't ;iek change" What is he doing here then, in this thread?

8. @pixel . The project will not fail. because people are happy with it at qhimms and 2 people from here, very intelligent japanese translators are now helping with it. I have the time and I have the patience. I have the ego and I have the arrogance to see it through. I also have the intelligence. Both projects will be completed in time. Look in the dictionary under "hinder" and "help" you may well find they mean 2 different things.

9. @ pixel. I AM LISTENING. If you had BOTHERED to read the threads you will see numerous examples of where I overrule myself in favour of the suggestion. I have taken everything onboard. What you mean is, I am not listening to YOU and why is that?> I will tell you why, because you came onto qhimm forum, a forum that has NOTHING to do with arguing whether a mod should take place and proceded to argue the toss with derailment tactics to SPITE me.

10. @ mako eyes. Your condoning of people signing up to qhimms and winding me up in multiple threads or even signing up because I called you intolerant fanboys is laughable.

DL, You REALLY need to learn how to conduct yourself with other folks. That's not simply my opinion, but also the opinion of nearly everyone else on this forum and a number of people on Qhimm as they said in your 'Oh noes invasion' thread.

And really, learn to take criticism without freaking out. When people say they think an idea for a mod is bad, they're not trying to make you stop, they're offering legitimate feedback on your idea. Yes, they don't have to DL the mod, but sometimes people aren't being selfish or 'ignorant fanboys', they're trying to tell you your idea is not a particularly good one.
