Moar impressions

Finished. Wonderful ending. I teared up a little knowing this is the end for the franchise and Nates stories. That said, took me 15 hours and since the statisticks dont count cutscenes from what Im told, I'd guess the game was anywhere from 17 to 19 hours in length. My favorite third person shooting adventure game of all time. Naughty Dog you wonderful geniuses, you all should be so proud of what you made here!

10 out of 10 no question and that's with not even trying mp as it's not up yet... multiplayer could suck ass and I'd still rate it a 10 out of 10.... that said... if MP is amazing... 11 out of 10!!!!!

Hahaha someone posted this on GAF from the comments section on Pornhub:

Co-op is dropping in Autumn, and apparently when they do DLC it'll be single-player DLC.

Legit though I found a seller that says guaranteed delivery of the special edition by this Thursday, but then the listing says "guaranteed by 10th May". So I emailed them, am awaiting response. Might be getting it this week.

I realized that in all of this excitement and whatnot, I'd actually forgotten to preorder the game :closedmonster: so now it's done. One copy for myself, and one copy for Force's belated birthday gift :wacky:

The reports are that the game is a lot more serious in tone but still has that crazy/ hilarious Uncharted flair. There are optional conversations with companion characters every now and again like in The Last of Us. It actually has a pretty serious emotional story this time, which is one of the things I've felt has been missing from Uncharted all this time. Naughty Dog have said they actually REMOVED one of their huge set pieces from the game because it didn't fit the story. That was a big problem with Uncharted 3, so I'm glad they've but a bit more focus on story.

Review embargo ends tomorrow btw.

I don't want them to go too far with that though. Uncharted is a summer blockbuster flick in video game form. I don't want 6 hours of angst and then one of the main characters dying simply because that would be the "emotional" thing to do.

I don't think it was as "big" a problem with 3 as everyone makes it out to be. It made the adventure feel less "tight" than 2 did, but it didn't take me out of the characters or anything like that.

I really like 3, but I understand now why people had a problem with it/ how flawed the storytelling was. You spend about three hours on various ships for no reason other than "hey we really wanted this boat set piece in here". Not only is it a frustrating segment, it's devoid of any actual story or character interaction. IMO, it sucks. Extremely impressive as a set piece? Yes. Does it work for Uncharted 3's story? Not at all. It's completely shoehorned in.

The Chateau and the Plane parts are integrated well, but fuck the entire shipyard/ boat sequence.

The cruise ship isn't frustrating at all, that part was freaking awesome. Going back through a level after it's all been rotated 90 degrees? Brilliantly executed.

The shipyard part was annoying, yeah, but it's no Lazarevic fight.

I agree Force, it's definitely awesome. What's not awesome is the huge completely unnecessary segway from the actual plot. It impacts massively on the storytelling. They could have easily made it work by having them holding Sully or Elena or some shit, but it's just Drake alone, plodding through metal hallways for three hours. It's like 0_0

Not to mention on Crushing it's the most frustrating segment in the game besides the Djinn in the final dunj. Omg the Djinn while you're drugged out. That's the fucking worst part ever. Death.
