That probably won't be that much of a problem, worst case is the stuff is several days old and mouldy, which would, in the worst case, cause food poisoning. The rest should still be good, albeit dusty. And ew.

Don't forget to add the employees stepping all over it to add to the ew factor
Anyone ready to lulz at the extremely weird use of "99 Red Balloons"? Biggest wtf moment in the movie, imo.
Caught the movie yesterday at 5:05 pm i didnt want to go late and just have a laxed day.
I got a mr.pib (cinemark doesnt carry dr. pepper -.-) and a large popcorn
I liked the movie it was very faithful to the comic , i remember seeing a scene and instantly recollecting the panel and page it was from. Also hearing pretty much the same dialogue from the novel was great as well.
I agree the music was odd , they had the right idea in some of it just not the right song imo.
And yes 99 red balloons was a wtf moment.
i took my friend nati with me who has never read watchmen and has only really heard me talk about it , and he thouroughly enjoyed the film. We even had a nice discussion about who we thought was more in the right towards the end. I think for nonfans of the comic it was an enjoyable film as long as they just sat down and listened to it and realised they were not sitting down for an action film.

Me and my friend just got out 20 minutes ago. He doesn't like it. Says it's too complicated, and due to restrictions in this country, they had to cut out Dr. Manhattan's nude scenes, Laurie's orgy, and her sex scene with Dan. He liked the music implemented though but he finds Rorschach's voice to be a total Batman rip off. He thinks The Dark Knight is still strong as a superhero movie than Watchmen.
And the sad fact is, he didn't read the comics.
I too, feel a little ripped. But I did enjoy Rorschach and everyone, I just fucking hate the cuts. It's predictable they'd cut Dr. M from his dong shots, Laurie's sex and orgy =/
And also, some details regarding Rorschach's inner monologues feels... well shortened. And some added to scenes.
All in all, I think it was good, just not as great as I was expecting. But I don't blame Zack Snyder for trying, he did great. It's just not as great as I anticipated.
The second reason why I feel cheated was probably due to the cuts. Fucking anti-erotic laws in arab countries is fucking anti-lulz.
And besides, Nonja, I want to tip the scale in favor to the film. Hell, even though it's got flaws, can't put it down for missing some parts.
i think due to its time constraints the development team did great.
I mean they fit watchmen into a 2:43 minute film and got alot of stuff from the novel in there.
Yeah it strays just a tad but come on alot of fans thought it couldnt be done and in my opinion it was done
Sucks that your country cut out the bits after all mum, but dont be to disappointed the orgy scene was like 15 seconds long and you just see johns hands
Its hillarious though ^^
They did a masterpiece. I almost cried when Rorschach had to go. My friend was like "...fucking gay. It's only a movie." But unfortunately, my mate hated it. It didn't make sense whatsoever according to him.
Ed, one of the last things I want is my good remastered comic series made to film only to be pissed at by the arabs. I'm fucking infuriated they cut out one of the good parts and left the customers wtf? And now this country hates Dr. M cos we all know that when he's around, scenes will be cut.
All In all I think the total amount of cuts were 5 minutes. a piss take by the arabs imo.
He's actually a super nerd (Linux nerd) and my close friend. He said the trailer was exciting. The only thing he liked in the film was with Rorschach and the music. He didn't like Dr. Manhattan or the others. He didn't understand why they let Comedian die. He feels the movie is so disorganized with so many characters.
Also I noticed we got too much Nixon. Fuck that. I say they should've saved time and used those Nixon times with Rorschach's more complex monologue. That's what blew with the film to non comic fans and newbs to Watchmen and that's what prolly made my mate hate it.

They cut every Dr Manhattan nude scene? Or did they just censor it. Cuz if they cut out every nude scene... wouldn't that be a heck of alot of runtime gone? o_O
Rorschach's monologues worked really well in some scenes, and not so well in others. I don't think it would've hurt to change the dialogue a bit to fit the flow of the film better, as alot of it was almost word-for-word from the comics. But oh well.
I have to agree that The Dark Knight was the stronger of the two films if I were to look at them objectively (though obviously Watchmen is much closer to its source material than TDK is).

greed fullheartedly. Hopefully with the extra hour for the DVD release they'll include more of the subplots in relation to the Manahattan citizens (like Bernie and Bernard, and Rorscach's doctor).
Also, whan Rorscach get's splattered at the end, was it just me or did his blood look sort of like the silhouette of the couple from the comics? I thought that was a nice reference, if I wasn't seeing things
Also, agreed that there was too much Nixon. It didn't help that I lolled a little at the actor's impersonation, but I think that can't be helped cuz it's Nixon.
I didn't really mind the major change to the ending; if you don't buy that then you don't buy the entire premise behind the movie Fail-Safe either. The music choices didn't really bother me all that much either, apart from that awful cover of Desolation Row (I know two Dylan recordings would have been pushing it, but come on, fucking MCR? Awful); nearly all the songs used in the film were mentioned somewhere in the text, with the exception of 99 Luftballons, which was really the only one of those I could find to be "questionable"; even then, it would've been much less so had it not been humorously featured in a recent episode of 30 Rock, which is hardly the director's fault.
The changes that irked me by the most were in chapter six of the original graphic novel, which explains Rorschach's origin story. Having Rorschach smash the guy's head in with a meat cleaver gives a completely different effect to the original where he lit the whole house on fire, and his whole following monologue to the psychiatrist was ruined as well (though maybe that'll be restored in the director's cut, but a substantial portion of the literary symbolism would be missing anyway). There were all kinds of little changes like that throughout the film, a lot of which I thought rather missed the subtlety of the original.
Despite that I enjoyed it and will probably even go see it again in cinemas - it's probably the best adaptation we could have hoped for out of Hollywood these days - but it's not the 10/10 film it could have been. It's probably a 7/10 at best.
looney: Whenever they go for Dr. Manhattan's dong shots or involve any scene with him in full body, they cut it out. I don't mind it but it really irked many who weren't used to the book, especially when a very important plot point was up, none of the customers understood it. *sigh* I wish they lift these kinds of things.
to add insult to injury, my friend was pissed they cut out the orgy scene and sex scene. It's what he was waiting for too. :' (
Aaron: arrr,
Rorschach's prison monologue was all too brief to add any detail. And the meat cleaver thing was like WHOAH, I expected him to burn the house after killing fred and barney.
I watched it a couple of days ago. Very good indeed. I'm going to be horribly predictable and save my favourite characters were Rorschach, Veidt, and Dr. Manhattan.
David hayter (voice of solid snake/co-writer for the movie) is pretty much urging fans who liked the movie to go back and catch the movie again this week end so that more movies of this type can be green lighted by hollywood execs.

So look, this is a note to the fanboys and fangirls. The true believers. Dedicated for life.
If the film made you think. Or argue with your friends. If it inspired a debate about the nature of man, or vigilante justice, or the horror of Nixon abolishing term limits. If you laughed at Bowie hanging with Adrian at Studio 54, or the Silhouette kissing that nurse.
Please go see the movie again next weekend.
You have to understand, everyone is watching to see how the film will do in its second week. If you care about movies that have a brain, or balls, (and this film's got both, literally), or true adaptations -- And if you're thinking of seeing it again anyway, please go back this weekend, Friday or Saturday night. Demonstrate the power of the fans, because it'll help let the people who pay for these movies know what we'd like to see. Because if it drops off the radar after the first weekend, they will never allow a film like this to be made again.
In the interests of full disclosure, let me also point out that I do not profi t one cent from an increase in box office, although an increase in box office can add to the value of the writers' eventual residual profits from dvd and tv sales.
But I'm not saying it for money. I'm saying it for people like me. I'm saying it for people who love smart, dark entertainment, on a grand, operatic scale. I'm talking to the Snake fans, the Rorschach fans, the people of the Dark Knight.
