Atlantean Kodex - Enthroned In Clouds And Fire

Amazing, bloody amazing. Metal does not get any more Epic in 2013 than the new Kodex. Possibly album of the year. So beautiful, majestic and I love the little nod the singer does to the almighty Quorthorn in this song. Epic Heavy Metal is alive with this one.

when the skies are looking black my dear
and your heart's lost all its hope

after dawn there will be sunshine
and all the dust will go

the skies will clear my darling
now it's time for you to let go

i'm gonna wake you up in the morning
with some tea and toast

Opeth - [Blackwater Park #03] Harvest [6:01]

Not sure why I haven't listened to them in awhile. Their recent stuff is hit-or-miss but the late '90s and early '00s stuff is classic.

It might not be possible to overstate how influential this band was.

I find myself asking the same question lately, I only really listen to their classic material if it comes up on shuffle mode on my iPod.
