It's not a real moogle, it's magic. Real moogles don't exist in FFVII, until proven otherwise. Hypothesis over whether they did or did not exist at one point is irrelevant.

Just cause its a summoned monster doesn't make it a "fake" moogle. That's like saying when Chocobos are summoned via materia or whatnot they aren't real either.

They're just summons. Summoned monsters. But they're still real. Maybe they're just a magical species that exist only as summoned monsters, like the ones in FFIV. Does that make other summoned monsters non-existent?

I thought summon monsters were just the memories of powerful monsters/people given temporary form by the planet through materia that invokes it.

No, because FFVII had Chocobos outside of summoning. Moogles were only a concept.

I didn't really intend to debate the metaphysics of moogles when I first posted, but you're determined to pick-up on everything I say. :-\

But I didn't say that in the first place.

I said "real" moogles. Ones part of the everyday world and not consigned to summon materia.

I don't think Kadaj is a real person, but he doesn't say he's a person either. The discussion is whether or not the moogles in FFVII are genuine moogles, and they are. They just happen to be moogles that for some inexplicable reason in FFVII are spiritual. It's not like they're...fakes or incomplete like the remnants are.

Well I guess I misunderstood you. When you said "real" I was thinking you meant "genuine." I guess it'd be more applicable calling them...living. Oh well
