In a magazine (Dengeki, I think), there was a little comment from Nomura on ACC. He mentions stuff like how ACC, like AC before it, has grown beyond what was originally planned, how people who have seen AC can try to stop all the changes and additions, and it's been fine-tuned to allow people people who haven't seen AC or played FFVII to enjoy it as well.

He also mentions a secret scene which won't be revealed before the release.

Secret scene huh. Interesting. Though it will probably be something really insignificant.

I just kind of want to see more. For the most part it's only going to fill in gaps and not add anything new to the story since Dirge takes place a year after it. Im more interesting in what happens after Dirge truthfully, but Im still buying the blu-ray version for multiple reasons.

OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD *slaps self* Woah, I go into these excitement modes too easily. The fact that AC grew so much out of its original 20-minute limit is what I attribute to its lack of story. The story concept, namely Cloud's regret for failing to save the people around him, stayed the same in the "final" result so it's not strange the story was thin.
ACC will not likely flesh out the story, but hopefully the movie will be easier to watch. Either that or it will feel even more stretched out, just a little more polished.

Edit: Secret scene that won't be revealed huh? Makes me wonder if all new scenes have been revealed already and that everything else is just changes to the original scenes (dirty Cloud etc).

Well I'm pretty much looking forward to it all. I do think the extended Cloud and Sephiroth fight will be good. To he honest I'm kind of hoping Cloud does a different finisher this time. I mean it always bugged me that Sephiroth just sat there and took it last time. You'd think he'd at least counter attack or try to block or something.

Also Cloud needs to stop getting stabbed when he fights Sephiroth.

At the risk of starting another argument on this, that whole scene WAS in slow-motion, Cloud was moving incredibly fast. That said, considering the whole fight has apparently been revamped, I imagine the finisher is at LEAST tweaked. If for no other reason than there will be something that gets Cloud down from the end of the Masamune.

That, and as he so clearly stated "He will never be a memory". I can so see him just doing it to be an antagonistic prick. Let Cloud "defeat" him only to remind him that no matter what he does, or technique he uses, Sephiroth will always have the ability to return.

That, or looking at it from a production standpoint, they'd have to end the fight eventually.

I think Sephiroth has a WTF expression on his face for the most part during that scene.
That means Cloud is making him dizzy and he demands an explanation for that bullshit.

In short, he was not expecting it, but is prolly waiting to see what will happen. He knows he can't "die" anyway. It looks to me like he's thinking "oookaayyy....let's see where this goes" or "WTF you little bitch, stop taking all the fun outta my life - this is getting boring"

I personally didn't like how he was defeated. So there's Cloud, cutting him up into tiny bits and pieces without any apparent effect, and he shrugs it off with an 'I'll be back'-esque quote and vanishes. Pretty poor, imho . I hope this time they'll add blood and gore, guts 'n bile, and have his mangled, formless remains do the 'I'll be back' instead.

I agree with this. I mean I'm not a hardcore blood fan or anything, but can we get some blood when Cloud gets stabbed?

And I didn't mean to start an argument. Yeah I know Cloud was moving very fast when he started the attack, but it just looked weird. I'm hoping for something a little less "weird" in ACC.

Hmm, I never pictured that Cloud's Omnislash Ver 5 was shown in slow-motion. And about Sephiroth being frozen, I always assumed there was some force field that held him like that. And about Sephiroth not being mangled into bits and pieces I always theorized that Sephiroth heals so quickly that whenever a limb is cut off it immediately reattaches itself. However the stress from holding his own body together was too much and so he disappeared in the fashion we remember.
We saw some blood on the Masamune from Cloud being stabbed, but no blood on Cloud's clothes.

It could also be a reference to FFVII gameplay that a character who is apparently cut in half by a sword can still walk around. Like with Tifa and Tseng.

If you look at how Omnislash Version 5 plays out in Dissidia, you can see that its completely instantaneous. The slow-motion is most certainly director flourish because again...it'd make absolutely no sense for Sephiroth to just float there in awe while being struck.

The attack is just so fast it overwhelms you.

And the reason Sephiroth wasn't rent limb from limb was because this is S-E and they aren't gory like that.

And really, even if you beat Sephiroth up, he won't really show it. That's just...how he is.

Yeah it was absolutely slow motion. You can tell because for a second or two they show it at full speed when you can see that Cloud is simultaneously and every sword.

That, and Sephiroth still thinks like a human, if something totally unexpected happens, it's going to take him off guard and throw his rhythm off.

He's pretty fallible.

I don't care how badass Sephiroth is. If suddenly, his opponent took out a squirt gun and shot chocolate syrup into his hair, he'd fucking react alright. He'd definitely lose his rhythm.

There is blood on Cloud's shirt when he get's stabbed! If you pay attention you can see a darker shade of color spread out from the wound into his shirt. It's easier to see in the Collector's Set because the animation is cleaner and brighter.

Or how about when Cloud stabs Sephiroth in CC? How it is his upper body did not flap over ala Nearly Headless Nick's head in Harry Potter is beyond me.
