Playing Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the first time ever.
Loving it so far, especially the change from day to night (and the subsequent occurrences), though I have been told I will come to hate much of existence when I reach a place called the Water Temple

Would someone playing TP for the first time have a similar reaction to this?

Began my 2nd playthrough of Dragon Age Inquisition. The first was with a mage qunari, this time I went for the andrastian human noble. Because I like harmless lame puns, I named him Harold.

Rocket League, y0. TIL it's made by the same dudes that made World of Goo. It's a solid, enjoyable game.

I've been playing FFXII the past few weeks. Been enjoying it a lot too. Other than that I'm periodically playing the app version of Dungeon Keeper.

TP as in Twilight Princess? If so, then I haven't a clue (and I don't know if the friend who told me this has played that one yet). I've never played it - I also haven't gotten to the Water Temple yet in Ocarina of Time.

Playing Simpsons Hit & Run at the moment - 'tis good fun. Funny too!

Water levels for most games are disliked. The water temple in Skyward Sword is the only LoZ example I hear people praise. The Zora mask in Majora's Mask had the best swimming mechanics though. At least Ocarina of Time's water temple has a pretty cool miniboss.

I agree, but I still enjoyed it and got a nostalgia trip from some parts, particularly the sacred grove. I always enjoy seeing more of the Gorons and Zora.

I loved Twilight Princess. I might...ahem...prefer it to OoT. Note that I didn't play OoT as a kid and therefore don't have the memories attached to it, I just notice that TP has significantly more satisfying combat.

Technological progress is in larger part the reason TP's combat can be considered more satisfying. A person's first game in a series is often their favorite, so I'm not surprised it's your favorite. I liked how OoT's slingshot and bow were relatively easy to aim without cross-hairs and kinda wish that could come back. However, motion controls in LoZ games will continue to frustrate me until they manage to do it without retconning Link's lefthandedness. That's pretty much the only reason he was right-handed in SS.

Well, it wasn't my first. I'd played Link to the Past and some Ocarina, but none in my childhood and TP was definitely the most "into" a Zelda game I've been.
And yeah, only the gamecube version. F the waggling.

My family skipped the Gamecube so I mostly got the waggling. At least with TP's motion controls there weren't as many issues stemming from the fact that I'm left-handed. More sensitive motion controls specific to a character's arm movements gets awkward pretty quickly, so I can forgive less specific motion controls.

I started on the Wii version. At first I thought, "Oh, this is sorta neat." After 2 hours, "Nope, this sucks." and got the gamecube version.

I played that one where you turn into a dog or something for some TL;DR searching every five minutes. It's supposed to be proper amazeballs but I got so bored jumping on top of random huts to fill in the weird bar thing that I just stopped playing it.

If we're talking about Zelda for a moment... :awesome:
My first one was A Link to the Past, which is a gem for the older Zelda games, and I really got into OoT, played it a lot growing up. However, I really love Tp as well, I thought the story was good and the gameplay was fun; plus I enjoyed the wide-open world and riding on Epona. I played the Gamecube version of that one.
Also liked SS, not as much as TP I don't think, but it was still a ton of fun.

Controllers and game systems don't ever bother me; give me a gamecube, wii, playstation, whatever controller, I'm fine with it.

I'm struggling to play anything right now if I'm honest. Kind of suffering game overload.

I really WANT to play Mass Effect again on PC, but every time I think about picking it up I remember DLC costs and something stops me from buying the DLC XD (and I don't believe in playing Mass Effect without the DLC).

Behind door number two, I'm just finishing up 100%ing Super Mario 3D Land. Just got world 8 to go as Mario (got all gold flagpoles and beat every level with both mario and luigi) and I've already collected all the coins. So that means I've just got this one last thing to do before I unlock the super secret and hard level.

Also been playing Theatrhythm randomly every now and again. Broaching the 5 profile stars on there too.

Oh also also, Journey on the PS4.

And replaying Deus Ex: Human Revolution on the PC

And I'm at the elite 4 in my playthrough of Pokémon HeartGold.

You see my problem here.

^Holy heck, I struggle just to play two games at once. :wacky: Usually what happens is one beats the other in terms of being more interesting and I get more 'into it' than the other, so I end up ditching one.
You're playing 5 right now. You've got to be crazy. :desuawesomonster:

I haven't really played that much in the past few weeks, which is shocking for me, but I've picked up DAI's DLC, Jaws of Hakkon, and I'm enjoying it so far. Want to be finished with it soon, so I can start the new DLC that's out today.

I'm also still playing FFVII for the community playthrough and will be embarking on the already-available four episodes of Life Is Strange for PS3, as I bought/downloaded them all yesterday.

Have you ever played Super Mario 3D World (if you have a Wii U)? Excellent for multiplayer it is.
And it is VERY generous with its bonus levels

Unfortunately no :monster:

I don't own a Wii U, but 3D World is probably the number one thing that's tempted me to buy one. I've watched a few 100% runs on YouTube and it looks absolutely immense.

Not trying to encourage any form of purchase, but I'll just say you won't look back :) Replace with Mario
But seriously, it's an excellent game.

I've been on quite the Mario buzz for about a year now. I want to play Super Mario Bros. The Lost Levels soon, even though my skill level is laughing at me for even thinking about it

Pikmin 3 and the next Zelda game is what's going to make me cave in and buy a Wii U finally. XD

Somebody who knew I like turn-based games recommended The Last Remanent to me. And what an in-depth turn-bawed game it is!
