I started Assassin's Creed IV black Flag and by god the pirate ships and raids are a sight to behold. A breath away from league of legends is what I needed after a week of bad games.

So far Fallout 3 isn't appealing to me. I know it's a stylistic thing because it's all nuclear apocalypse and all that, but it's incredibly bland in appearance, literally everything is a shitty faded brown. The map is huge, but it's a big huge map of nothing a lot of the time, going to a new area never feels like you're going to a new area. I do really like the soundtrack though

Gonna stick with it for a bit longer and see if it picks up.

Playing Eternal Sonata now. The combat in this games seems rather brutal and unforgiving, to the point where it honestly frustrates me a bit, but everything else about the game is absolutely amazing.

It's a beauty of a game. Enjoy all the sidequests!

OT: I'm obviously playing Final Fantasy X HD. :monster:

And I fell down the Advance Wars hole. It is good I've already played through Dual Strike and Days of Ruin, they barely give you any tutorial here. Also I can't erase the name of whoever had this game before me for some reason. So I'm permanently "JAZZ........" with all of the ellipses.

They give you a lot of money in this one, so I'm indirect missiling the hell out of everything. :monster:

World Cup Italia 90 on the Sega Megadrive. Been playing multiplayer with my little brother and its immense fun, mostly because there's pretty much no rules and it's entirely possible to score from nowhere as your keeper inexplicably flees the field. The "Goal!" sound effect is hilarious.

So given how I've got a fuckton of PS3 games I never finished, I went back to my backlog, :monster:. Continued with God of War 3, I forgot how much excellent awesome violence MURDER KILL ALL THE THINGS RAEG etc there's in there. Yesterday I cut big chunks of meat out of some dude, then hacked his head open and tore his soul out with his own weapons. Then I ripped some dude's head off with bare hands and used his screaming head as a weapon and means to find secrets.

Today I dismembered some other dude and stole his fresh sneakers. Shit's so cash.

tl;dr this is a good action game.

Aaaand just finished GoW 3; it is glorious, although I'm a bit disappointed by the final scenes, probably because I compared them to the first which may have gotten flak for being so different from the rest of the games.
no giant god fights this time, lulz :monster:. The ending kinda loses pace when you go to dream mode and shit like 'fite ur daemonz', and I expected MOAR VIOLENCE when you finally kill Zeus, instead of tapping circle until he's dead. Finally, Kratos kills himself and the world remains in chaos (despite that hope shit) and then you get credits and a possible opening for a sequel.

I do hope they keep making sequels, or that same studio does similar epic games; I'd say it's one of the must-have games for PS3 and shit. Edit: I should get Ascension, but at first glance I can't see how it'd be better than 3, :monster:

RE: Resident Evil 1996 version I found

I can see why they slipped it into the case, somebody scratched up the top layer of the disc. And because the top layer is where PS1 data is stored, it gets pretty ruined. The amazing thing is that it's still playable.

-The capcom logo stops halfway
-The opening cinematic also stops halfway

As for the rest of it, everything plays normally until I get to the stairs by the typewriter in the east wing (by the gallery), and the door to the balcony with Forest. So I am completely locked out of getting the grenade launcher and Yawn. It's kind of cool, like an archaic demo disc.

This version is also really easy; zombies die after 4 bullets, their heads explode after one upwardly-pointed shotgun every time.

Also playing NES Metal Gear, feels a lot like this

Dawnbreaker

I mostly bounce back between playing ESO with the offline friends and family and playing NWo with the guildies. I'm a total mmorpg hoe now. :P

Alice

The Persistent Flourish
I finished Lightning Returns a while back. Probably going to play Arkham Origins: Blackgate later down the road, when I have the time. It's a low priority since it looks really forgettable.

I need get back to playing American McGee's Alice sometime, too. Busy, busy, busy..

Just started Batman: Arkham City yesterday. It's the first of the Batman games that I've played, and I think I'm going to enjoy it.

I also need to finally get around to finishing Pokemon X, and also Soul Silver...

After walking away from it for a few years, I think I understand Vagrant Story's battle system. This is a very stat-conscious game. Very easy to not have the right weapons or armor that would keep me from getting screwed over. Also doesn't help that bosses jump out at me after playing for hours. Save often.

I also came back to Twin Snakes for the same amount of time, and am quite a bit better. Gamecube controller is not so bad now. I still hug the walls when I want to run though. :'(

I beat Psycho Mantis. He said I play a lot of Legend of Zelda. I'm going to assume he meant Resident Evil for the Gamecube, but didn't want to breach copyrights.

The library had Kingdom Hearts 1.5 so I get that for week. I think I know how to speedrun it relatively.

I hear it has a decent camera system this time, which was all it needed.

Resident Evil 3, and the sound is just as low as it is with the Gamecube version. I have to turn my Vita up almost all the way to hear the voices.

I'm pretty sure RE2 had the same problem. I can't figure out how they let something like that by during coding/manufacturing.

Playing FFXIII at the moment, doing the Faultwarren Trials and other Cie'th Stone missions. Mostly because I needed something to do during the exam period that counted as relaxation and didn't require a great deal of emotional or cognitive investment O_o

What I loved about XIII's battle system was that it favoured those who went into each individual fight prepared for that particular opponent. I know that usually means a shit ton of grinding to power up particular accessories or characters or what have you, but I liked chopping and changing the party line-up and equipment to suit the opponents, and coming up with strategies for how I'd start the fight off and then paradigm shift to something else and whatnot.

On second thought, this game requires more cognitive investment than my exams :monster:
