What should have changed that didn't?

I honestly never thought the Negative Lifestream prevented the group from reaching the fight. I just think they backed off because well, as you said, they trusted Cloud to finish it. Maybe they would have stopped by if the fight lasted long enough I dunno, but the Negative Lifestream was all over the place so I don't really think that had anything to do with why they didn't interfere.

Maybe a scene where they saw the sky turned black, Barret went nuts and they again had to tell him not to interfere would have been nice, I also would have wanted to see their reaction, but it probably would have messed up the flow of the fight.

EDIT
Maybe they could have even done a little humor. Like they say to Barret that no matter what he sees or hears, he can't interfere and that's when the sky turns black and he says, "Now he's got 5 minutes" or something. Yeah sorry I'm no writer :)

Umm, the AC script says that the Negative Lifestream surrounds them in darkness, isolating them in the miasma. If the negative lifestream is dangerous and poisonous, then surely it's not something that they should try to touch or go through, given the consequence. It was a way of Sephiroth to isolate Cloud in the fight.

It was kinda stupid the way it seemed like the ship disappeared.

Should have been some sort of reaction from his team when Sephiroth appeared and shit.

Interesting, but if that's so then why did it spread over Midgar? And I'm actually asking that, not trying to rebuttal or say you're wrong.

And, no offense, but some of us aren't as well versed in everything in the Compilation as you are. I never played DoC or Crisis Core, I didn't read any of the "Case of so and sos" or anything. I was mainly in it for AC and I saw that, and then ACC came out. I was content with that.

Keep in mind that not everyone here will know everything you know. Also, rather than arguing and arguing with someone for a few posts and then saying "Well the official stuff says this" you should bring that up in the beginning. It would save a lot of clutter on the forum (like this argument and the one with Quexinos the other day).

I'm inclined to agree.

Well their fight took place in Midgar, so it makes sense.

And you haven't played DC or CC? Well that's understandable, but that IS why our front page exists, so no u. :monster:

Read up on it or something. We make the information available so you can understand it, dood. Everything I talk about or mention is either here on the front page or a click away on google. Mostly the former.

It's not that the information isn't available, it's just that I either can't be bothered or I don't care about that part of the Compilation. I apologize to Vincent fans but Dirge of Cerberus never even peaked my interest. When I get more time I might take a look at more stuff, but hell I think it's better not to know some things.

There's nothing to be apologetic about man. The last thing you need to do is apologize for your opinion.

Outside the context of the original FF7, I find Vincent and Lucrecia highly uninteresting.

Okay then I apologize for not knowing as much as I guess I should :monster:

Maybe someday I'll be all caught up but more than likely I'll forget about all this soon and move onto my next wacky adventure.

Fair enough, that you can't be bothered to now, but don't be surprised when I'm surprised that you don't know something that's right there on our front page or something :monster:

No big deal really.

Oh thank god I'm not the only one who sees this shit

EDIT: and I'll just rant at another scene that should have been changed - Tifa's with mindscrewed Denzel, all hell is breaking loose, then, she sees a Shadow Creeper leaping onto her, which through cleaver montage magically becomes Bahamut, in ridiculously different proportions, shape and appearance. One of the dumbest, non-sencical, cheapest thrill scenes in AC, carried out to ACC.

Rufus & Cloud's "conversation" in Healin. As with Vincent, Rufus becomes Mr.Exposition. Most of Cloud's involvement in AC involves listening to what people say with a sulky expression on his face. There's hardly any interaction as a character.

Wait, I'm not sure what you're saying about the scene where the Shadow Creeper attacking Tifa is stepped on by Bahamut...

Huh?
What clever montage? Bahamut landed right on the Shadow Creeper and stomped it into the ground. It was fairly obvious...

Is that is? haha, daaamn, I never actually noticed. I thought it was the overused, cheap gag of making smth coming at ya suddenly become bigger for shock value. Ok, you made the scene watchable for me now, I'll give you kudos for that.:monster:

I liked the way Cloud badgered Rufus at the start of it :monster:

I wish he'd have gotten more involved though.

Do we ever find out who called Loz during the fight with Tifa? Sorry if this has been brought up before, but that is one thing I would have liked clarified. :P

I thought it was pretty obvious it was Yazoo on the phone, since he was teasing Loz.

Most likely Kadaj, but Yazoo could be the one just as well. Matters little, r'lyeh, and I'd be more interested who Kadaj calls with at the start of the movie. And before you ask, it's not Rufus, since he asks whoever he's calling to 'put the president on'.

Since Yazoo is the only one shown to tease Loz about being a crybaby, we can infer that it was him on the phone.

And from Kadaj's reaction, he had to be talking to Reno before Rufus.
