I used to run a final attack orders deck, a Chaos Sorcerer deck and then a Monarchs deck.
Then I stopped playing when I wassss, idk, 17/18? Not too long ago.

Wow, you must've been pretty damn good. The Monarchs were the shit. Monarchs dominated that format back in the day. Hell, they're still good now. Which one was your favorite?

I made Mobius and Zaborg my bitches.
But yeah, I watched the animated series for a little while, but after realising how ridiculous everything was, and the fac that Yami bakura wasn't involved anymore, I stopped.

Now I usually only watch the abridged series.

LOL you're like my other friend who basically stopped caring when Yami Bakura was no longer in it too He has quite the loyal fan following.

Ahh yes, good ole' Mobius and Zaborg. I don't know if you know that the Monarchs have some new members too. My favorite is definitely Caius, the Shadow Monarch. When he's tributed, he removes one card on the field from play. And he's Dark. He's like Zaborg's evil brother.

Bakura is a lot more sane than Yami Malik.

Of course! Who could ever deny this? Yami Malik is one of the craziest fuckers I've seen. Especially his wide range of... expressions. xD I prefer Bakura's personality though, and I just love how he pops up and kidnaps Mokuba one day. Like.. everyone needs a turn tormenting Seto at some point it seems. xD

Yeah, Bakura is one of my favorite original series villains. The guy's tenacious and clever like a mofo. Thief King Bakura was the shit in Millennium World...at least the manga that is.

The manga is the core of it all. It really allowed the characters to have a compelling story behind them, and was the springboard that allowed the card game to become as popular as it did. Which then led to the anime, and then the spinoffs, and all of the shit we know now.

I bet Kazuki Takahashi is snorting a line of coke off a hooker's navel, laughing at how fucking lucky he was with his manga proposal to Shonen Jump.

The manga is seriously some crazy, yet entertaining shit. I love reading it.

Hm, I still played it every summer when I worked at the daycamp, just never bought any new packs. It was fun trouncing the 10 year olds with their shiny new cards with all my really old ones

Occasionally I'd go to the flea market and by individual cards for like a dime, that's probably where my newest card would be from...but it'd still be like 2 years old by now
