Yeah, but the way "WHY HIIIIGH" is sung, sounds absolutely horrid. It's completely unfitting of the end (the sound, not the lyrics) ... I mean, the song doesn't even sound liberating. I've always thought it was horrid and ruined the mood completely.

IT'S THE MELODY(or sound) THAT RUINED, MELODYYYYYY!!
That's why the CCFFVII Mix of it is better. I just can't picture it that much if that track will be used as BGM instead of Why itself. hmmmmm....

I would have said exactly the opposite on every count. XD

When it first came out, I thought Crisis Core had the best ending of any of the new Compilation works, and "Why" is a big part of why (see what I did there?).

Now I can't decide whether it's CC or ACC, but I still feel that CC's ending was a masterstroke and that "Why" was absolutely fitting.

But you're not the first person I've seen say those things about CC. I remember one person on GameFAQs saying

That would have been the perfect ending, imo. I was hoping for that SO FUCKING HARD. And I didn't like the 'music video' aspect either, I'll admit, BUT, out of all the songs they could have chose, I think the choice of Why handled it pretty well.

So I guess I dissagree with the 'CC ending PWNS' thing. But I still don't think it sucked, it was pretty good. Just not as good as it could have been.

I loved the soundtrack, I think it fit Zack very well, but the ending... yes, I agree with others - lyrics were good (had to look for translation of course xD) but the music bothered me a little for some reason

Also, there was one thing which bothered me... why Zack never visited his parents when he left to Midgar? Or did he visited them?

Zack tried to go see his parents on his way to Midgar but the Turks were already there. Cissnei was supposed to tell them that he was okay, I think. :/

He may have been afraid to go home -- the letter Cloud&Co find at his parents' house says that he was worried they were mad with him, because he basically ran away to go to Midgar.

Nobody in this thread has said anything yet about him being in KH: Birth By Sleep yet?

But him not going home because he is afraid his parents are mad makes sense. But I am sure they actually hadn't been mad to see their son. Well, I am sure they would have lectured him a little about this

Oh gods, those pants *facepalms* His get-up wouldn't be so bad if the area by his knees looked better. Even with the Turtleneck From Nowhere. It's nice that they decided to show him as his younger self, too, though he looks even younger than he did in Crisis Core -- more about 14 or 15? Which makes me wonder what connection he might have to the other FF7 characters at that age (if any )

Well Zack looks really cute and adorable in KH But the pants must go. Now I remembered. I think I saw similar pants during parade, I think it was sailors' uniform.
I actually have never played KH, my friend did and told me a lot about it. But it makes me curious too about Zack's connection to others.
And I think this is how Zack looked like when he joined Shinra.
And no matter in what kind of clothes (please somebody...change the style of pants...) I still like Zack in KH I will buy it, I think. Depends on shipping prices >_<

Actually, it just makes me like him even more. I asked the question because I find it saddening that someone as deserving as him didn't get to experience the joy that comes with a truly intimate relationship.

It's not that it makes him 'lesser' in my mind, it's just... I can't really see it. I mean yea, Zack's not a total manslut and is more naive than his flirting makes him seem, but come on. Before Aerith? What good-looking teenage guy with no parents around and no commitment to another girl, would stay a virgin?

And then Aerith, well, she doesn't strike me as the 'save myself for marriage' type, even if she was probably a virgin before meeting Zack -- and that I am only figuring is likely because of her age at the time.

It's possible they were still virgins, I mean it's not like they're in some universe where people loose their cat tails after boinking the first time But I just get the vibe that they were intimate, at least with each other if nobody else.
