I am so behind on anything AC thanks to my massive disappointment in Revelations I guess I should be marginally interested once again... I still need to pass it even though I'm gonna be flipping entire houses by the time I finish it.

While I wouldn't go so far as to say I liked it, I don't why people get so ragey about it, it was really easy. As I said before, it's basically there to occupy you for the backstory info dump the series sorely needed. It didn't bother me.

I thought it was really poorly done and not fun to play at all. =/

It felt clunky and awkward...

This is something I'm just gonna look up on youtube. :P

Everything just felt so arbitrary though and there were such whiplash changes in personalities and the direction that it just really upsets me. Everything in terms of characterization was great and then Revelations happened. I wouldn't mind the changes if there was some explanation to it as opposed to me having to assume everything.

Then again, I probably have hardcore feels due to the fact that I RP as Ezio pretty seriously. Whoops I guess.

And no, it wasn't fun to play at all. I wanted way more time with Yusuf and he was just wasted so terribly.

I'm definitely just going to look that up on youtube but it looks really cool. I was sad when ubisoft said the subject 16's story was about wrapped up, I love his character and I can't wait to see more of him.

Are we talking about thesame thing?

rofl guess not I've heard other people say the same thing I have, and other people saying it made perfect sense so I'm not exactly sure what that means as a whole for the game :|a

We're talking about the gameplay of the first person segments...you seem to be ranting about the story of ACR as a whole.

I actually was I didn't actually check the update, hence me saying that I should probably get marginally interested in this now that there is something of value in this new DLC and the new release date.

Not that it changes me wanting to you know pass the game.

THAT WAS ONE HELL OF A LOST IN TRANSLATION I AM VERY SORRY FOR THAT BECAUSE READING IS EXTREMELY HARD.

Still kinda lost tbh. Where did you say you should probably get interrsted and why? What doesn't change the fact that you want to "pass" the game?

And while we're at it...who had whiplash character changes?

I haven't kept up with any of the updates with AC since the announcement of the new game and I hadn't expected a new DLC with actual story (since the last one they released was just the multiplayer pack). I haven't kept up due to the fact that I was disappointed in Revelations and I'm not sure what to expect at this point because it felt so rushed and different. The new DLC and the new updates aren't really fueling my interest in passing the game.

I feel Ezio had a lot of whiplash changes, once Sequence 8 started (I think it was 8 ). Where he seemed to be a character that takes his time, makes sure to get everything right before attacking, in Revelations he just stormed in and did shit without batting an eyelash, taking orders from Suleiman. There was no hard proof about his uncle, only a hunch, yet Ezio agreed to do the favor of finding him and dealing with him without making sure the rumors were true. He starts getting involved in the politics directly where he really never did before. It's a stark contrast to what he's teaching the recruits in the game during the Master Assassin missions where he even tells one of them he's a rash man for not waiting to make sure it's the right person to attack and has him off the mission until he atones. A lot of innocent people die or get hurt in some way because he's just sorta charging into everything.

Wow sup TL;DR

I'm assuming you mean that Janissary dude and not Suleiman's uncle? Ezio never did anything to his uncle until the dude kidnapped Sofia and flat-out told Ezio he was leading the templars. And I thought charging the docks after Sofia's kidnapped while assassin's make sure no one can touch you was one of the more badass points in the series.

As for the Janissary guy...welll, I dunno dude's allowed to make a mistake I guess. I'd say the only thing about it that was not quite in character was that he wasn't all that broken up about it.

I could have used some more Altair, but besides that I thought it wasn't bad...

There was more characterization of Altair in his codex than in the first game and most of revelations.. :/

Yes I did mean the Janissary my b that was what really kinda got to me that he was just... not reactive at all about it? And that's what set me off the most tbh and I wanted more Altair too.

Really you can just ignore my feels it's okay I'm pretty alone in this camp please continue with other things as I feel like I'm getting way too heavy into a video game.

I dunno, I'm liking AssRev overall, but I do agree that it's more of the same. :monster: And I honestly like Brohood multiplayer better.

I abhor the tower defense, but bribing avoids that.

As for the first person Animus puzzle parts, I thought it was tedious, but it's an interesting idea that I think can be worked on. I don't really love it as is, but I like the idea of further working your way through the animus at the same time as working through an ancestor's memories. It could have definitely benefited from more time, but I don't dislike it, per se. Kinda feels like Mirror's Edge.

Altair should've had more a lot more screen time than he did. Looking back at the game I would've liked it more if he had more screen time than Ezio.

Sully, you are not alone :)

I liked Revelations, but I was disappointed. Right off the bat I was pissed off about the fact that their faces were all re-done, but I've already ranted enough about that.

Most of the points you mentioned, I agree with. I just know that when I played AC2, I really wanted to play it, to push forward and do all the side missions and find out everything that I can. Same but ever so slightly less so with Brotherhood, but that had enough new elements to keep me going, as well as having quite a good story.

Revelations kind of screwed that up for me. I just lost my gusto for playing it. I had to force myself to complete the story because I NEED to finish the story, but not because I was enjoying playing the game. I very easily and quickly got bored with Revelations.

DESMOND'S FACE WAS SHIT IN REVELATIONS. His face was fine - I don't understand why in the hell they would change it.

I found the Tower Defense game annoying as well, OWD.

I don't really blame the first AC for not having much character development for Altair. I mean... it was the first game. They put it out and learned from it. That's why there's lots of development of the character through other games and novels.

I don't understand the stupidity with his face. I get that he's in a coma and his face should look like shit but that's not how someone who's in a coma is suppose to look like.

Yeah Altair got some much needed character development in this game, too bad we barely got to see it. Btw would it kill Ubisoft to have Maria on screen for more than 2 minutes?

edit: 2,000 post :monster:

LOL Desmond's face looked more...bloated? I would expect him to look thinner considering the coma and all.

Aso, Ezio looked hawt while writing in his diary :awesome:

Smeh, I just thought Desmond looked, as Yahtzee observed, like Adam Sandler. He's always been just another boring buzzcut'd medium build chatacterless protagonist.
