Assassin's Creed (series)

China or America. Actually as long as the protagonist is a female assassin I'm ok with any of those places.

yessss, we need a female assassin next round.

Desmond will just have to deal :awesome:

Russian revolution is more interesting than all of those to me.

I'd rather have Russia or Egypt. The rest get plenty of attention in media already.

So, sort of on topic but off topic to the current discussion, can someone help me with the first Altaïr memory? Templar bitch keeps killing people before I can get to him and idk what to do :|

oh well there are online vids that can help you more efficiently but
climb the wall when he closes the gate, make sure to kill all the guards silently while your walking on the roof(it's pretty easy) then make sure your above the templars head select him to give you the selection of assassinate, and you just air assassinate him.

Just beat it. I liked it. Not too much to say that hasn't already been said. I didn't despise the Desmond sections like every else seemed to. Desmond SORELY needed backstory so they were basically just something to keep your hands busy during the info dump, and they weren't at all difficult. They could've been more inventive, but I was just grateful for the backstory.

Although they dragged Ezio's story probably a little longer than they needed to (though I understand why they did), it was sad to see both he and Altair go. I'll miss'em. :(
Double kudos for making Altair an actual character finally (no books don't count, I mean in the games).

I liked it, but the whole bomb making thing felt really tacked on.

Also, what the fuck happened to their faces? Desmond looks almost completely different. Ezio, while he's
supposed to have aged,
looks completely different?

And I'm pissed off that
Lucy's actually dead
.

I liked that Altair was a proper character too, and I also didn't mind Desmond's sections. Although was there a continuity error? In the first Assassin's Creed, he had no idea he was an Assassin. Now he was raised on a farm being told everyday that he was an Assassin? I mean double f s.

I'm still glad he got some backstory though.

Should the backstory info in your post have been under a spoiler tag? I'm only playing through AC2 now, and while I'm not sure if that info was a crucial part of the story or not, it would have been nice to learn that in game, I think... :P

I read this and thought "shit, sorry, I'll go back and change that", then I read this:

Desmond actually mentions the farm in AC1.

I should probably still have spoiler'd it though. When does he mention the farm full of
assassin's raising him?
. Because I really don't remember that, and I played them all one after the other in a week at the start of this month.

Ahh, I didn't play AC1, just kinda skipped to AC2, haha.

You didn't miss much.

You can talk to Lucy multiple times after each memory sequence in AC1.

Early on he mentions he was raised on a farm "kinda like Masyaf, only less creepy" (or something like that).
Also, right in the beginning when Vidic tells him he's an assassin, he responds with "I'm not an assassin...I mean, not anymore" or sth along those lines.

I always spoke to Lucy after the memory sequences, I just don't remember that line. Glad to know it's not a continuity error anyway!

I don't remember that line with Vidic either. I just remember him saying "I'm not an assassin, what are you talking about" and when Vidic says "your assassin friends are coming to rescue you" he says "I don't know what you're talking about".

But I suppose that could just be him covering it up...

Tets is right, in AC1 Desmond does say he's not an assassin anymore. I've remembered that all along and have been waiting for when they were gonna tell us what the hell that meant.

Attempting AC: Revelations, failing because I'm at that point in the game where nothing makes sense and I want to flip every single damn table I can get my hands on. I don't think I'll ever finish it because it makes me that upset.
Right where Ezio tells Yusuf he has to leave Constantinople and to look after Sofia for him I mean where things stopped making sense was already a little before

Made my response here so as not to be off-topic in the other thread. But what aren't you following that makes you so upset as to not finish?
You saw that the guns were being smuggled out of the city by that fat Templar who has the last Masyaf key. Then after you kill that Janissary that you and Suleiman think is a traitor, you learn he wasn't actually a traitor but he gives you the location of where all the guns are going - Cappadocia. So Ezio has to go there to get the last Masyaf key off the fat guy.

Welcome to the club.
I don't know what pisses me off more about the situation, her death, that no explanation has been given for it and Desmond had a few opportunities to ask Subject 16 or the ones that came before but nothing or that yet again another main female character in this series gets screwed.
