I still haven't had time to play it. I am bad.
Just beat it. I liked it. Not too much to say that hasn't already been said. I didn't despise the Desmond sections like every else seemed to. Desmond SORELY needed backstory so they were basically just something to keep your hands busy during the info dump, and they weren't at all difficult. They could've been more inventive, but I was just grateful for the backstory.
Although they dragged Ezio's story probably a little longer than they needed to (though I understand why they did), it was sad to see both he and Altair go. I'll miss'em.
Double kudos for making Altair an actual character finally (no books don't count, I mean in the games).
Should the backstory info in your post have been under a spoiler tag? I'm only playing through AC2 now, and while I'm not sure if that info was a crucial part of the story or not, it would have been nice to learn that in game, I think...

Attempting AC: Revelations, failing because I'm at that point in the game where nothing makes sense and I want to flip every single damn table I can get my hands on. I don't think I'll ever finish it because it makes me that upset.
Right where Ezio tells Yusuf he has to leave Constantinople and to look after Sofia for him I mean where things stopped making sense was already a little before

or that yet again another main female character in this series gets screwed.
