When you said that Amon was involved I couldn't stop myself from clicking the link and watching.

I am now highly looking forward to the next episode.

I figured it would only be a matter of time before Amon went after the pro-bending teams.

Am I the only one that finds it annoyingly convenient that Korra, Mako and Bo Lin (this is how I will forever spell his name) all have eye colours that reflect their native bending element? Surely they could have been given unique eye colours.

That's they way it has been since the beginning of the first show, though. Bender eye colors correspond with their element. Even non benders seem to share eye colors based on what kingdom/tribe they were from.

Yeah, that is why some of Republic city denzins are unique/usual, like Asami she has primarily Fire Nation features/heritage but she has green eyes indicating Earth Kingdom ancestry as well.

That is just what I needed to get excited for the next episode :D! And Asami is fire-nation? I thought Hiroshi had earth-bender heritage?

We're not sure. But Asami does look like she would be Fire Nation other than her eyes, which hint at Earth Kingdom heritage.

She's probably a mix. Perhaps her mother was Fire Nation?

Hiroshi Sato's family lineage extends back to the first Fire Nation colonists. It is probably more likely Asami's mother had Earth Kingdom heritage (remember Kingdom not bender), but it could also be possible one of Hiroshi ancestors married a Earth Kingdom native as well.

The eye colour thing wasn't as apparent to me in the first series, tbh. Unless I just wasn't paying enough attention. I went back and looked and I guess it was due to the fact that Aang had an eye colour that didn't necessarily match his element.

His eyes were grey though? I guess that's the closest they could get to air. Non bender's I think have a larger variety of eye colors, I remember seeing brown somewhere....

Maybe eye color can have something top do with spirituality too? The more spiritual or closer you are to your homelands element, the more your eye color matches it ?/random thoughts

It's the same color that all the air benders had though, isn't it?

I guess I'm not sure what color air would be. :P

okay, so everyone has their panties wadded up their ass because they show asami at the beginning but don't show her near the end or anything and this somehow means HER AND HER DAD ARE EQUALISTS

bitches look at this shit logically: he just tossed down a decent amount of cash so the fire ferrets could go to the tournament. if he specifically opposed bending, i am pretty sure this is not a thing he would do. also people being like 'haha makorra' for him being worried about korra but apparently not asami

Asami being an equalist would be the best thing for her character. Actually, it'll be the only thing that will make her relatively interesting. She's been a throw-away character until now.

That's been pissing me off, NO development so far with her :/
I do think she's an equalist or at least she's not as good as we like to think she is, but I think she's conflicted with her love of their team too. When the equalists were unloading the place they were in looked a LOT like the Satomobile factory. And maybe Hiroshi has an ulterior motive for paying off the refs, or Amon. Theirs still a lot that's up in the air.

BUT THEIR WILL BE TWO NEW EPISODES NEXT WEEK! And the season is halfway over...
