That new clip really bothered me....Why is Mako cock-blocking when he has Asami >.> Dude make up your mind...
I can already tell this episode is going to piss me off, hopefully Korra herself will be awesome enough to make up for this bullshoy

It does seem that there has been an increase of Mako-rage/hate on tumblr.

Well we do know Korra will perform some awesome bending in the tournament, and Tahno gets introduced and he seems to be one of those characters you love-to-hate so that should also be interesting. Of course most importantly Pabu was adorable getting a bath.

How could I forget about Pabu?! He's adorable!

I don't hate Mako at all, but all of this seems like a lot of whip lash to me, and Bolin always ends up out of the loop somehow :(

i wouldn't say i am mad at mako but i am a bit irritated with how he treated korra in the last episode like the whole 'oh hi korra w/e HAVE U MET MY NEW GIRLFRIEND' and doesn't even mention or thank her for helping to save bolin...

Meh, I am not too worried. If Korra ends up single it won't bother me so long as we get to see her lay some major smack down on Amon. :)

Two new locations, Police Headquarters and Downtown Republic City, have been unlocked in the Republic City interactive game at Nick.com.
Nothing really spoilery has been revealed like last time with Zuko but ages of characters and other interesting bits of information are there to see.

Yeah it looks like Toph is no longer with us :(

or since they didn't even give us her age it makes me believe that she'll show up later for something important.....

Fuck this shit, Toph is too awesome to be dead.
They literally gave NO info on her at all, not even when she died, so I'm kind of iffy on whether or not she's dead. I guess we really just have to wait.. :/

You know it is kinda ironic how opposite in personality both Aang's and Toph's kids (who are featured in the show) are from their parents. Aang wild and fun loving-Tenzin uptight and serious, Toph literally celebrates in breaking rules-Lin harsh enforcer of rules.

Yeah Tenzin I can understand, his being the next one to pass on the air-bending legacy and all, but Lin, something must have happened to make her that way. The scar hints at something, but we don't know what yet.. :/

Well, do remember that we have children vs adults here. Who's to say Aang and Toph didn't change once they grew up?

Good point. The Aang we saw in the flashback was scary(even though we don't know what he was angry about) but I feel like he wouldn't change that much. I still see a lot of younger Katara in her older self, she's just much wiser.

Went through it and ripped all there is from the new sections. I really wish there was a way to save your progress... it's annoying doing it all each time (though I now go through it so fast the game is still telling me I've unlocked things from a few areas ago, lol).

Will try to have it all up soon... or I might just wait until the 11th, when the last area (unless they plan to expand it later) will be unlocked.

I think the fact he seems much harsher (Toph too, possibly?) may have something to do with the guy who Aang fought. Maybe he killed Sokka? That would have definitely impacted those two, since they were so close to the fighting.

Sounds interesting.. I'll have to check it out.

If you don't want to do it over and over again you have to make a nick account, it takes like 5 seconds

Yeah Yakone or something, there are a lot of tumblr theories that he was a bloodbender(his name means red or death or something)

Eep

Was Katara actually teaching people how to blood bend? Or maybe the dude just figured it out on his own.

holy shit that episode....i can't.
from the VERY first minute of the episode it's about shipping and it only gets worse. Korra's confession was so adorably awkward, and her date with Bolin was too adorable I love them together. Then EVERYTHING went bat-shit crazy after this. Mako and Korra start sucking because they get into an argument, Bolin ends up kicking major ass, but then HE gets his hearts torn out when Korra and Mako make out? Why is this show so unfair to Bolin?! He deserves the world and everything and he gets nothing but pain :(

It makes me feel bad that I ship Makorra, but I also ship Borra ; ;

Then Korra decides to redeem herself and get them to the finals, everything is seemingly cleared up..Korra and Asami even have a civil interaction--which I am so exceedingly grateful for--and Korra can heal!

What needs to happen to clear this shit up:
Bolin needs to be happy again. Just with whatever means necessary
Mako needs to sort out his damn feelings
Korra needs to calm down
Pema needs to give better advice...
Asami needs to be included in stuff..she had no development at all(but then again no one in this episode did..)
No I'm not mad at everyone. It was a snowball effect, and it was waiting to happen. Korra is impulsive she didn't account for the fact that Bolin liked her.
Mako is constantly conflicted, something I noted what he said is that dating Asami would make the most SENSE he's lived his whole life based on this principle so when his feelings for Korra DON'T make sense he tried to dismiss them which causes him to end up in this mess.
Bolin did nothing wrong, no one communicated with him, which made me furious, as he helped the team win their next match.
The same with Asami, no one told her anything.

This episode was like The Great Divide, only with more crying.
On a side note Tahno's voice was pretty awesomesexy.

well hopefully bryke got all of the shipping out of their systems and we can move on to the plot......

Maybe he did figure it out on his own, I can't see katara passing that on, she really hated it...
Some are speculating Tahno to be a bloodbender too, considering he won the match in one round, plus he gets his bending taken away, maybe it's for that reason?

Can I just say how much I hated today's episode?
So much stupid shit about shipping and way too little focus on the tournament, most of the tournament played in just one fucking episode about shipping.

On a good note I saw last week's episode and Ikki telling Tarrlok he's weird and then just staring at him for 20 seconds was just awesome.

I loved today's episode, even if was a very shippy one (it will probably be the last one for a couple of episodes). I don't have inherently negative or positive views on love triangles, I only care if it is written well; and this one was written well IMO. I was laughing so much in this episode. It is great to see the contrast with Mako and Bolin, one is a introvert with his feelings the other is an extrovert (Bolin's manly tears was hilarious and heart-wrenching at the same time). The episode ended where I expected it to, unresolved feelings and confusion but all agree that they will keep them out of the Tournament so they function as a team well.

I suspect episode 6 will be interesting, based on previous footage I am guessing Amon and the Equalists will interrupt the Pro-Bending Tournament during the final match and Tahno somehow gets his bending taken away. And i bet this is wear Lin Bei Fong shows up to help Korra.

I actually didn't have much of an issue with today's episode, although I'll probably be crankier if too much attention is diverted from the main plot and the smaller subplots that they have running. There's just too much potential in this show to have it all taken up by what should be another subplot rather then a major focus.

The fact that the romantic feelings of the characters were played up in this episode and the consequences of them doesn't surprise me and, although I think that I'd have preferred a more gradual build-up to it, I wasn't that put off by it. Of the two triangles, this is the one with the most potential for being destructive because of the character's relationships. That isn't to say that the Korra/Mako/Asami one doesn't have that potential itself because love triangles are tricky for exactly that reason, but I'd say that it doesn't yet have the same power because the characters aren't as close (Mako and Bolin are the only family that each has left and they're also really Korra's only friends in the city outside of Tenzin's family. There is bound to be a lot of issues between these three given the set up.) So, the fact that it blew up like it did made sense.

One of the things that I really liked about this episode though was that this is the first time I feel as though the writer's took Bolin and his feelings for Korra seriously. The date scene was, at least for me, the first time I was able to potentially see anything between those two going past Bolin's crush with the way that they interacted and how comfortable they are with each other. And then when he caught Korra and Mako kissing, he was understandably hurt. Who wouldn't be? But the damage done wasn't played off for laughs, which seems to happen a lot with Bolin and while I laugh at a lot of his antics, I've been waiting for the writers to try to do something with Bolin outside of comic relief (Before someone yells at me, he's had serious scenes here and there, but mostly he seems to be treated as comic relief and while that's fine, there is a point where he needs to be able to move beyond that role if he's to be a main character and obviously they intend him to be that.)

On top of that, I like that at the end that they weren't torn apart by it all, but instead decided to prioritize the bonds that they already had with one another. I don't know where they plan to go with this triangle now, but I guess that we'll see.

Major complaint- Asami needs development sooner rather then later. I like her, but if she remains this flat a character then I can guarantee that won't last. I want her to be something more than "Mako's girlfriend." She deserves to be more than "Mako's girlfriend."

And now I stop. :)

I agree. To me, this was a great episode because it
cleared out a great deal of the love square stuff so quickly. Bolin finally got rejected, as we all knew he would be, we got more insight into how Mako feels and we did not have to spend episode after episode wanting Korra to tell Mako how she feels.

Again, a useful episode and I'm happy we didn't see this stuff extended over 5-10 more chapters. Now we can spend more time learning about Aang & friends, see Korra learn stuff from Tenzin, see how Aman's plans unfold etc.

I'm not convinced it's over. Bolin got rejected, yes, but technically so did Korra and the rejection didn't really change the situation between Mako and Korra given that they were kissing a few scenes after that rejection, with both admitting they were still interested. Those feelings don't just go away because you're rejected. On the other hand, I think that any fireworks between these three are probably done given the conclusion, which is good.

That's true. I don't think I could have handled more buildup.

yeah that's another thing it feels like they've started over again, but at the same time they're all clear about their feelings with one another, and that means they have a better understanding of themselves so they can progress more. Again a LOT of mixed feelings from this episode.
