So why is the image of Chaos!Vin and Safer Sephiroth unsettling to you? It does have a slightly shonon-ai tone to it, if that could be it, though I appreciate it as them just being metaphorically close (not even emotionally close, of course—but what they both symbolize is very, very linked). Do they appear too intimate to you, or is it something else?
I can see what you're saying, or at least I can agree that there is definitely a link between the two men. Granted, it may not be what you were thinking. Besides the link with Lucrecia, I believe also the link to/with 'chaos' as a subject or as an actual being. Jenova seems to also be a destroyer; Chaos is one brought forth by the planet when its time has come to die.
The somewhat romantic look to the picture could be one reason why the picture holds a tad unsettled feel for me, but I don't believe that's the problem. No, I'm not used to homosexuality, but I do not ban it or consider it a sin or anything. I think it's more how these two characters are in their ultimate forms (as we've seen them thus far), so to speak. More it's double-trouble, in my mind. There's that connection, and yet, there's that repulsion too.
Hopefully you understand what I mean. If not, ask away, I'll try to put into better words my views. Please rest assured, it's not really anything to do with the romantic aspects of the picture. It's a very good picture! I just shared there's something unsettling about it to me.
...I know, I'm not very good with communicating...
