But, it was stated in one of the Ultimanias that Hojo and Lucrecia were married (they were labeled as husband and wife).

Also regarding Cid i just read in the ultimana translation of his profile that they never said he was married rather he has a good relation with Shera/sierra whatever her name is Which proves my point that english dubs are crap and misleading <-I love this icon

BUT, this isn't the Cid fanclub.

I used to think they weren't married either because there's never any hint of it in the actual games, but Lucrecia and Hojo's marriage is mentioned several times in the Ultimania, and again alluded to in the CC Ultimania when the questioner makes a comparison between Hojo/Lucrecia and Hollander/Gillian and asks if Hollander and Gillian were married.

There are several fanfics that speculate on Vincent's reaction to their wedding. My favorite was in As Crimson As My Sins, by Dance Macabre. Something Borrowed, by Nine Shadows, is also a one shot that serves entirely to illustrate his attempts to cope.

Ironically, both involve him getting sloshed out of his mind. xD

But I don't think they actually had the sort of wedding that both of those fanfics and every other one seems to paint them as having. It would have been impractical in Nibelheim. I think it was more of a legal affair.

Anyway. Not entirely relevent, either.

I have to say that I go by what the japanese version says and if he's not married it makes me feel less guilty about him having an affair in my mind Anyways i wish for dirge to be made into an anime It should've been... or a movie if SE wasn't so cheap but alas we got a hurried-made game

I don't think Dirge would have made a very good anime/movie. There's too much action that doesn't relate to the actual story and it would be very boring to watch. If it had been an OAV we'd all be saying how much better it would be if we'd actually been able to play as Vincent in a game.

Now LE...I'd like to see that as an OAV, just because it's short enough that it wouldn't matter, and we can no longer access it any other way.

Well i have to say that since Dirge got such horrible reviews i think it would've done better if we could watch it. All the action scenes in the game were basically just running around stages randomly killing people where the really important stuff could be emphasized in an anime/movie. All those insignificant DG dudes could just take up a nice 3 minute scene of vince doing his acrobatics while killing them. Now the scenes where Vin actually associates with people would make nice entry in film and knowing that you're a VinxLucy fan there would be a good episode showing them together and for me a sad 2 minute scene of Cid talking to vin about freakin' beers. :X

Btw for those of you who've never watched kuroshitsuji this guy named Sebastian looks eerily similar to Vincent, and this guy Bard is like a Cid clone (Guy on my avatar) and thers this "thing" called Pluto? Plue Plue? that looks like Vice. And guess what the anime is hosted by SE

Just because Dirge got bad reviews by a bunch of people who couldn't possibly appreciate the intricacies of Vincent's story doesn't mean it shouldn't have been a game. Let's face it: we have a better understanding of Dirge of Cerberus than most of the people who gave those reviews.

Even if one likes FPS, I don't think they would automatically like Dirge of Cerberus just because of the 'intricate details' as you mentioned. *shake head*

: I have to say that the story line was amazing which is why it would've been much better in film! The fact that the gameplay was just okay takes away from that. I personally loved the game but for the vast majority out there I'm sure they would've appreciated something much more. Although I do have to say that whole thing with the SND dive and trasfering of memories and Hojo actually controlling Vices brain was complete and utter crap. But Vincents whole story wasn't too shabby, coulda used more insight on him and his fasha together. Anyways the game could've been so much better if SE took the time to make it so instead of shooting it out right after AC came out Look at crisis core, they waied freakin 3 years for that!

And I dunno, I've wanted to run around as Vincent and shoot things since I used to play Goldeneye 007 on the N64 for hours on end. And that had NO story value. Hell, I didn't understand what the hell was going on in that game until I saw the movie. But anyhoo.

Vincent > Bond.

Vincent = bad ass = win

And yes, Hojo controlling Weiss was teh lame.

This really isn't the place for this, but... as Project G in CC was named after Gillian, not Genesis... why is the project that created Seph called Project S, not Project L?

Yeah, but my point was Project G was named after Gillian, the scientist, not Genesis, the end result. So, maybe Project S should have been Project L, after Lucrecia. But, I've come up with the answer to my own question. Basically, in Project G, the Jenova cells were injected into Gillian directly, to create a solution to inject into Genesis in utero. However, with Project S, the cells were injected directly into Sephiroth. So, yeah. Duh. Plus, entirely off-topic.

On a similar note, I did see a "wallpaper" on DA the other day that incorporated some images from a doujin with Grimoire hugging Vincent as a young man that I'm going to try to look for because it looked quite touching. I asked the person who "made" the "wallpaper" (two terms which I use loosely because it was really just some ripped scans of this doujin pasted onto a white background with very little creative value on behalf of the deviant) but he/she hasn't gotten back to me yet. It wasn't Samayoi, though.

OK, here's the thing I put together about some guys in different series who look fairly similar to Vincent. If anyone else can think of any other character, please, feel free to add.

Chief Kurama (Elfin Lied): looks a bit like Turk!Vincent with glasses. He's the lead scientist of a facility investigating Diclonius. He has an assistant with the surname "Kisaragi". His actions when we first meet him seem more in line with Hojo's, however...

Seiji Mido (Moon Phase): Vincent with glasses, he even makes one of his female acquiantances blush and frequently squee! over him. An occult specialist. However, he's far too loquacious compared to Vincent.

Genya Arikado (Castlevania): OK, back on ACF, I actually got a couple PMs asking if this was a Vincent fanart when I used a similar picture as my avatar. To quote from his bio in the manual for Dawn of Sorrow:

A member of a top-secret Japanese government agency. Shrouded in mystery, his true identity is known but to a handful of people. Although he is strikingly beautiful, his cold and detached demeanour makes him difficult to approach."

Duuude so i read On a way to a smile finally with all the cases of Denzel, Tifa, and Barret and yep Vincent isn't in any of them thus i am 99.9% sure we're not going to see him in the coming OVA. PIECE OF SHIT!! Why isn't the man in ANYTHING!! I'm still pissed about the fact that they had almost every FFVII character in kingdom hearts but him and barret! @#&*!!!

Now that you mention it him and D are kinda similar They're both dark and mysterious and...have capes! Cept' D really is a vampire

I'm not too happy with Vincent being with any of the Disney toons but they could just do what they did with Sephy. Have him by himself as a bossfight (at the least) We need more Vincent fans out there!

I high doubt vincent is going to have any more screen time in ACC...they didn't even put a new screen of him in the trailer! I'm hoping at least they'll fix the stupid shortness on his cape though which well they won't but i guess it's okay to dream :-\

My point is that "Case of Vincent" was titled "Dirge of Cerberus." And it had a lot more spotlight than the respective cases of Barret, Tifa, and Denzel. There's something to be said for appreciating what we got, especially since it's more than most other characters ever got.

And do we really want Vincent voiced by a Backstreet Boy? Do you honestly think Sephiroth being in KH did any justice for the character?
