Just thought I would give you all a heads up. Netflix now contains ALL of NewWho up until this point. Planet of the Dead, A Christmas Carol, Day of the Doctor, and Time of the Doctor are all on there now, and they are all conveniently together in order.

Now it kind of makes me wish I hadn't spent $300 on the Blu-Ray set. I have them all at my fingertips now and could have saved money. :/

I don't regret getting them on BluRay, still. Just because something shows up on a streaming service, I still love my physical copies. Plus - they have extras & stuff, too. :3

Clara had so much potential but I ultimately did not like what they ended up doing with her, so I wouldn't mind seeing her go at Christmas if this is true.

That article sounds sketchy, that being said I do think this season should be the last for Clara as a companion. I really hope that when goes she gets an exit more like Martha, is about time we get another like that.

My first reaction to Jenna leaving is, "Noooooooo!!!!!!!"

But I think I'll wait until I've seen the whole season. Maybe at the end it will feel right.

I agree, a normal exit rather than cheaply plotted deaths. (Still bitter as SHIT about Amy and Rory)

I'll be sad to see her go, but companions don't typically stick around for very long. This should hopefully mean she'll go for bigger roles and maybe see her in the film industry like Karen Gillan did recently with GotG and Oculus.

They shouldn't stay for very long, two series should be the limit. I mean look at Rory, I never liked Amy but I always liked Rory and by the first half of series 7, I was absolutely tired of him. Because they had dragged on so much I didn't feel bad at all about the way they exited the series.

I've honestly yet to understand why so many fans objected to Amy and Rory's departure. Sure, it was tragic for The Doctor, but if you were a fan of Amy and/or Rory, they couldn't possibly have gotten a happier ending.

They got to be together and live out full lives, safely locked away in an era where more shenanigans from The Doctor couldn't touch them.

I'm torn about their exit. I thought it was bittersweet: Amy and Rory got to be happy together where they were, but Amy had to choose between the love of her life and her raggedy man. If you compare her from the finale to when her role began, you can definitely tell the difference and how well she's developed as a character. It was a sad exit, but no exit can top Donna's. Until Rose found her ending with the human Doctor, I deemed her ending to be the saddest.

We had this discussion a while back, aside from the fact they wouldn't be able to see their families again, all things considered Rory and Amy got off ok. Especially considering that the previous departure had been Donna's, who has easily the most heartbreaking one and a bit horrifying since the Doctor had to forcefully mind rape her.

I really loved Rose's original departure, it was the to me the perfect ending to her story. Her second departure I didn't really like at all.

Even if they did get off lightly, it's still quite heartbreaking. As for Rose's permanent exit, I did like it. Yet on the other hand, I can see how it's fan service since a lot of people ride on the 10/Rose ship. Saying that, I'm glad they've moved away from making his companions romantic interests now and good friends a la Donna, Amy, Rory and Clara. I mean, it's just like he said a while ago.

And that's what the show's really about. Forget romance, he just wants to share the universe with someone and he has done it with many, many mates. And then like any space adventure, shit just happens. It can either be good shit or bad shit.
