I just started posting 'cause Faith peeps have more cookies.

Yeah, I met you by following the trail of crumbs.
Ryu, I recall baiting you with a link to our LTD. (Turns out you're a sucker for those!) We were like hey, why is that guy not over here yet? I for one was excited that someone else knew the names to all my favorite fallacies.
Jem (this was 8000 names ago when you were still Jem fyi), back then you were the mistress of facade: a faux-squeamish, ice-blooded, lesbian airhead. Unfortunately you dropped the schtick before I could uncover the meaning behind it all... but I had fun getting nowhere.
Vilaeth, our fearless leader: before you started neutraling up the joint, you were a sort of traveling gypsy linguist... you were always and yet somehow never around.
We'd put the bat-signal out and you'd show up a few pages later to
facepalm comment on our questions. Props for staying impartial.
I found Tennyo goofing off in my usernotes one day. (There's a shocker.) Back then she was a rabid fence-sitter. Not sure what pushed yet another diehard neutral over into our yard, but thar she be.
Demoness: well of course! I don't start pointless arguments with my friends for my health, you know!

Shipping... the word has a sort of negative connotation to it, but I do consider myself a shipper, I guess. I just find pairing fun, nothing more. I enjoy fanart, and the occaisional fanfic (even though it's hard to find something well-written). I think fan creations are a great way to display personal views on characters without having to write long, analytical essays. Plus, all the hypothetical situations is just fun and atr times, gratifying.
Of course, it's always fun to ship crack and non-canon pairings... but for some reason, I tend to drift towards canon. I guess I'm just a boring person that way. Though I do enjoy my fair share of crack also

I usually restrict my cracked-out shipping to my friends in this club.
Shipping is ok man. If I were to really ship anyone, it would be Lupin/Fujiko. They're in love despite both being shallow and raging sluts.
In my experience, the people who get emotionally invested in pairings (i.e. e-living through their favorite characters) tend to be the ones who give "shipper" the bad connotation. And sometimes people just fall victim to their expectations, and are stubborn to a sin about admitting they're wrong. Example: if you've played the Zelda games, have you ever noticed that Link never interacts romantically with Zelda? They're not even the same people game to game, but varying decendants of long, parallel-running ancestral lines. Yet people associate them romantically because of their stereotypical knight/princess relationship, the fact that they're connected by destiny, and because they're placed together in marketing contexts. In Twilight Princess, if Link is said to be "paired" with anyone, I'd place his childhood friend first (that's my Cloti link
), then the Twilight Princess and Zelda as a distant third.
