Yeah, the OVA is gonna star Aerith post DC with Cloud. Sure it is. Uh huh...*winks and nods*

The OVA is going to start with Cloud leaving SH one day early in the morning while everyone is still asleep and heading for the flower field where Aerith is awaiting for him.
They have some spirit smex and then Aerith helps Cloud to commit ritual suicide so they at last could be reunited in the Lifestream and the rabbits could at last shut up.

Was inspired by the pinkers who hope that SE'll kill Cloud in the OVA for Aerith.

Yes, some of them actually think SE might kill Cloud, their most popular hero and cash cow. In an OVA. In an OVA that's just a special feature on a DVD.

I would love to see more Aerith, but it would have to be in her spirit form - unless Cloud and Tifa have a baby and she's reincarnated as their daughter. :-\ But yeah, I don't understand their train of thought - though I know how hard it is to let go of a dream and/or hope. Still, the facts are out there - what may have been in VII or could have been if Aerith had lived is no longer in AC and beyond.

And only Cloti's say that Aerith went back to the planet after AC? I myself have never said such a thing in definite. I'm open to whatever.

Tifa's BEEN a main character since '97, honey. That whole 'two heroines and one of them dies' thing, for starters.

Cloud dying in a 20 minute bonus film is as likely as Zack just randomly coming back to life after DoC.

Aerith as C and T's daughter is entirely likely, even if they just name their daughter after her. Seriously, 'Tiffany Aerith Lockhart-Strife'. Think about it. It works.

And of course Aerith didn't go back to the planet after AC. She never left it. Not that I think she merged with it, but her absence during the Omega Crisis IS notable.

But it does sound logical, doesn't it?
In the end of AC Aerith tells Cloud that everything is going to be alright and then he kills himself. Perfect!

Seriously though, I don't think that most Cleriths really want Cloud dead, as far as I know they're quite satisfied with Aerith's ribbon watching over Cloud wherever he goes.

That reminds me of an adorable picture I saw. The one of the world with a cute face and a ribbon, with a Cloud-ghost flying around it.

as far as I know they're quite satisfied with Aerith's ribbon watching over Cloud wherever he goes.

I think they're more satisfied with Aerith living inside of Cloud, so that she can see him whenever she wants.

Of course, what if there was no Aerith in the movie at all? What if they just got rid of her, as unlikely as that is? What do you think their explanation of that would be? I recall they used her complete lack of presence on the AC page to mean she was the main character, I can only imagine the height they'll give her if she's removed entirely.

Haha, the ol' "he's steeped in darkness, she's full of light. They're perfect for one another!"

They've since changed their argument again, haven't they? Ever since the remark about Aeris being a perfect balance of light and darkness, the Clerises are now trying to make it so that Aeris doesn't give out too much light.

I came up up with that theory first. It was (mock) argument, when we first read the thing about her having a good balance of both light and darkness. I said that she's obviously much better for Cloud, because she's got a good balance... unlike Tifa, who has way too much light, and keeps on blinding him and hurting his eyes all the time.
